The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?Davidís song Lord, you are my Light and my Savior. I should not be afraid of anyone! The Lord is the place of safety for my life. So I will not be afraid of any person.
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.Evil people might attack me. They might try to destroy my body. My enemies might try to attack and destroy me.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. But even if an army is all around me, I will not be afraid. Even if people attack me in war, I will not be afraid. Why? Because I trust the Lord.
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.I ask only one thing from the Lord: Let me sit in his temple all my life, so I can see the Lordís beauty and visit his palace.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. The Lord will protect me when I am in danger. He will hide me in his tent. He will take me up to his place of safety.
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.My enemies have surrounded me. But the Lord will help me defeat them! Then I will offer sacrifices in his tent. I will give the sacrifices with shouts of joy. I will sing and play songs to honor the Lord.
Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.Lord, hear my voice. Answer me. Be kind to me.
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.Lord, I want to talk with you. I want to speak to you from my heart. I come before you to speak with you.
Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.Lord, donít turn away from your servant. Help me! Donít push me away! Donít leave me! My God, you are my Savior.
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.My mother and my father left me. But the Lord took me and made me his.
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.I have enemies, Lord. So teach me your ways. Teach me to do the right things.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. My enemies have attacked me. They have told lies about me. They have told lies to hurt me.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.I truly believe that I will see the Lordís goodness before I die.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.Wait for the Lordís help! Be strong and brave, and wait for the Lordís help!
