| 1 | Et il arriva, la quatrième année du roi Darius, que la parole de l'Éternel vint à Zacharie, le quatrième jour du neuvième mois, au mois de Kislev, | And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of Jehovah came unto Zechariah in the fourth [day] of the ninth month, even in Chislev. | Nel quarto anno del re Dario, il quarto giorno del nono mese, che è Kislev, avvenne che la parola dell'Eterno fu rivolta a Zaccaria. |
| 2 | quand Béthel envoya Sharétser et Réguem-Mélec et ses hommes pour implorer l'Éternel, | Now [they of] Beth-el had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to entreat the favor of Jehovah, | Avevano mandato Sharetser, assieme a Reghemmelek e i suoi uomini a Bethel per implorare il favore dell'Eterno, |
| 3 | pour parler aux sacrificateurs qui étaient dans la maison de l'Éternel des armées, et aux prophètes, disant: Pleurerai-je au cinquième mois, en me séparant comme j'ai fait, voici tant d'années? | [and] to speak unto the priests of the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years? | e per parlare ai sacerdoti che erano nella casa dell'Eterno degli eserciti e ai profeti, dicendo: Devo piangere il quinto mese e digiunare come ho fatto per tanti anni?. |
| 4 | Et la parole de l'Éternel des armées vint à moi, disant: | Then came the word of Jehovah of hosts unto me, saying, | Allora la parola dell'Eterno degli eserciti mi fu rivolta, dicendo: |
| 5 | Parle à tout le peuple du pays, et aux sacrificateurs, disant: Quand vous avez jeûné et que vous vous êtes lamentés au cinquième et au septième mois, et cela pendant soixante-dix ans, est-ce réellement pour moi, pour moi, que vous avez jeûné? | Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh [month], even these seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? | Parla a tutto il popolo del paese e ai sacerdoti e di': "Quando avete digiunato e fatto cordoglio nel quinto e nel settimo mese durante questi settant'anni, avete veramente digiunato per me, proprio per me? |
| 6 | Et quand vous avez mangé et bu, n'est-ce pas vous qui mangiez et qui buviez? | And when ye eat, and when ye drink, do not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves? | Quando poi avete mangiato e bevuto, non avete forse mangiato e bevuto per voi stessi? |
| 7 | Ne sont-ce pas là les paroles que l'Éternel a criées par les premiers prophètes, alors que Jérusalem était habitée et jouissait de la paix, ainsi que ses villes qui l'entouraient, et que le midi et le pays plat étaient habités? | [Should ye] not [hear] the words which Jehovah cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited? | Non sono queste le parole che l'Eterno degli eserciti ha proclamato per mezzo dei profeti del passato, quando Gerusalemme era abitata e tranquilla assieme alle sue città vicine ed erano pure abitati il Neghev e la pianura?. |
| 8 | Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à Zacharie, disant: | And the word of Jehovah came unto Zechariah, saying, | La parola dell'Eterno fu rivolta a Zaccaria dicendo: |
| 9 | Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, disant: Prononcez des jugements de vérité, et usez de bonté et de miséricorde l'un envers l'autre, | Thus hath Jehovah of hosts spoken, saying, Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother; | Così dice l'Eterno degli eserciti: Amministrate fedelmente la giustizia e mostrate ognuno verso suo fratello bontà e compassione. |
| 10 | et n'opprimez pas la veuve et l'orphelin, l'étranger et l'affligé; et ne méditez pas le mal dans votre coeur, l'un contre l'autre. | and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the sojourner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart. | Non opprimete la vedova e l'orfano, lo straniero e il povero, e nessuno macchini nel suo cuore del male contro il proprio fratello. |
| 11 | Mais ils refusèrent d'être attentifs, et opposèrent une épaule revêche, et appesantirent leurs oreilles pour ne pas entendre, | But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear. | Ma essi rifiutarono di ascoltare, voltarono ostinatamente le spalle e si turarono gli orecchi per non udire. |
| 12 | et rendirent leur coeur dur comme un diamant, pour ne pas écouter la loi et les paroles que l'Éternel des armées envoyait par son Esprit, par les premiers prophètes; et il y eut une grande colère de la part de l'Éternel des armées. | Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which Jehovah of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets: therefore there came great wrath from Jehovah of hosts. | Resero il loro cuore come il diamante, per non ascoltare la legge e le parole che l'Eterno degli eserciti mandava loro per mezzo del suo Spirito, attraverso i profeti del passato. Così ci fu grande indignazione da parte dell'Eterno degli eserciti. |
| 13 | Et il arriva que, comme il cria et qu'ils n'écoutèrent pas, de même ils crièrent, et je n'écoutai pas, dit l'Éternel des armées; | And it is come to pass that, as he cried, and they would not hear, so they shall cry, and I will not hear, said Jehovah of hosts; | E avvenne che come egli chiamava ed essi non davano ascolto, così essi hanno gridato e io non ho dato ascolto, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti, |
| 14 | et je les dispersai, comme par un tourbillon, parmi toutes les nations qu'ils ne connaissaient pas, et le pays fut désolé derrière eux, de sorte qu'il n'y avait ni allants ni venants; et ils rendirent désolé le pays désirable. | but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate. | ma li ho dispersi col turbine fra tutte le nazioni che essi non conoscevano. Così il paese rimase desolato dietro di loro, senza più nessuno che vi passasse o vi ritornasse. Di un paese di delizie essi fecero una desolazione. |
