| 3 | that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good; | Parimenti le donne anziane abbiano un comportamento conveniente a persone sante, non siano calunniatrici, non schiave di molto vino, ma maestre nel bene |
| 4 | that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, | per insegnare alle giovani ad amare i loro mariti, ad amare i loro figli, |
| 5 | [to be] sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed: | a essere assennate, caste, dedite ai lavori di casa, buone, sottomesse ai propri mariti, affinché la parola di Dio non sia bestemmiata. |

| 8 | sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us. | un parlare sano ed irreprensibile, affinché l'oppositore sia svergognato, non avendo nulla di male da dire a vostro riguardo. |
| 9 | [Exhort] servants to be in subjection to their own masters, [and] to be well-pleasing [to them] in all things; not gainsaying; | I servi siano sottomessi ai propri padroni, cercando di compiacerli in ogni cosa, di non contraddirli, |
| 10 | not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. | di non frodarli, ma di mostrare una totale fedeltà, affinché in ogni cosa onorino l'insegnamento di Dio, nostro Salvatore. |
| 11 | For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, | Infatti la grazia salvifica di Dio è apparsa a tutti gli uomini, |
| 12 | instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world; | e ci insegna a rinunziare all'empietà e alle mondane concupiscenze, perché viviamo nella presente età saggiamente, giustamente e piamente, |
| 13 | looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; | aspettando la beata speranza e l'apparizione della gloria del grande Dio e Salvatore nostro, Gesù Cristo, |
| 14 | who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works. | il quale ha dato se stesso per noi, per riscattarci da ogni iniquità e purificare per sé un popolo speciale, zelante nelle buone opere. |
| 15 | These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise thee. | Insegna queste cose, esorta e riprendi con ogni autorità. Nessuno ti disprezzi, |
