1Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.Psaume, cantique de David. Au maître-chantre. Que Dieu se lève, et ses ennemis seront dispersés, et ceux qui le haïssent s'enfuiront devant lui.Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him.To the director. One of David’s songs of praise. God, get up and scatter your enemies. May all of his enemies run from him.
2As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.Tu les dissiperas comme la fumée se dissipe; comme la cire se fond au feu, ainsi périront les méchants devant Dieu.As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.May your enemies be scattered, like smoke blown away by the wind. May your enemies be destroyed, like wax melting in a fire.
3But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.Mais les justes se réjouiront, ils triompheront devant Dieu, et tressailleront de joie.But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God: Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.But good people are happy. Good people have a happy time together with God. Good people enjoy themselves and are very happy!
4Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.Chantez à Dieu, célébrez son nom, préparez le chemin à celui qui s'avance dans les plaines! L'Éternel est son nom; réjouissez-vous devant lui!Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; His name is Jehovah; and exult ye before him.Sing to God. Sing praises to his name. Prepare the way for God. He rides his chariot over the desert. His name is YAH. Praise his name!
5A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.Le père des orphelins et le défenseur des veuves, c'est Dieu, dans sa demeure sainte.A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.In his holy temple, God is like a father to orphans. God takes care of widows.
6God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.Dieu fait habiter en famille ceux qui étaient seuls; il délivre les captifs, et les met au large; mais les rebelles demeurent dans des lieux arides.God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.God gives lonely people a home. God takes his people out of prison. They are very happy. But people who turn against God, will stay in their hot prison.
7O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:O Dieu, quand tu sortis devant ton peuple, quand tu marchas dans le désert, - Sélah (pause), -O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness; SelahGod, you led your people out of Egypt. You marched across the desert,
8The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.La terre trembla, les cieux mêmes se fondirent en eau devant Dieu; le Sinaï même trembla devant Dieu, le Dieu d'Israël.The earth trembled, The heavens also dropped [rain] at the presence of God: Yon Sinai [trembled] at the presence of God, the God of Israel.and the ground shook. SELAH God, the God of Israel, came to Mount Sinai, and the sky melted.
9Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.Tu répandis une pluie bienfaisante, ô Dieu; tu rendis la force à ton héritage épuisé.Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.God, you sent the rain to make a tired, old land strong again.
10Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.Ton troupeau habita dans cette terre que ta bonté, ô Dieu, avait préparée pour l'affligé.Thy congregation dwelt therein: Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.Your animals came back to that land. God, you gave many good things to the poor people there.
11The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.Le Seigneur fait entendre sa parole, et les messagères de bonnes nouvelles sont une grande armée.The Lord giveth the word: The women that publish the tidings are a great host.God gave the command and many people went to tell the good news:
12Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.Les rois des armées s'enfuient; ils s'enfuient, et celle qui reste à la maison partage le butin.Kings of armies flee, they flee; And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.The armies of powerful kings ran away! The women at home will divide the things that the soldiers bring from the battle. The people who stayed at home will share in the wealth.
13Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.Vous qui restez couchés au milieu des parcs, vous recevez les ailes argentées de la colombe, et son plumage d'un jaune d'or.When ye lie among the sheepfolds, [It is as] the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her pinions with yellow gold.They will get the dove wings covered with silver. They will get the wings sparkling with gold.
14When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.Quand le Tout-Puissant dispersa les rois, la terre devint blanche comme la neige de Tsalmon.When the Almighty scattered kings therein, [It was as when] it snoweth in Zalmon.On Mount Zalmon, God scattered the enemy kings. They were like falling snow.
15The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.Montagne de Dieu, mont de Bassan, montagne aux cimes nombreuses, mont de Bassan,A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A high mountain is the mountain of Bashan.Mount Bashan is a great mountain with many peaks.
16Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.Pourquoi vous élevez-vous, monts aux cimes nombreuses, contre la montagne que Dieu a choisie pour sa demeure? L'Éternel y habitera pour jamais.Why look ye askance, ye high mountains, At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode? Yea, Jehovah will dwell [in it] for ever.Mount Bashan, why do you look down on Mount Zion? God loves that mountain (Zion). The Lord chose to live there forever.
17The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.Les chars de Dieu se comptent par vingt mille, par milliers redoublés; le Seigneur est au milieu d'eux; Sinaï est dans le sanctuaire.The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands; The Lord is among them, [as in] Sinai, in the sanctuary.The Lord comes to Holy Mount Zion. Behind him are millions of his chariots.
18Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.Tu es monté en haut, tu as emmené des captifs; tu as reçu des dons parmi les hommes, pour avoir ta demeure même chez les rebelles, ô Éternel Dieu!Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, [among] the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell [with them].He went up above on the high mountain, leading a parade of captives; to take the gifts from men, including the people who turned against him. The Lord God went up there to live.
19Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.Béni soit le Seigneur chaque jour! Quand on nous accable, Dieu est notre délivrance. (Sélah.)Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, Even the God who is our salvation. SelahPraise the Lord! Every day he helps us with the loads we must carry. God saves us! SELAH
20He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.Dieu est pour nous le Dieu des délivrances; c'est l'Éternel notre Dieu qui retire de la mort.God is unto us a God of deliverances; And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death.He is our God. He is the God that saves us. The Lord our God saves us from death.
21But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.Certainement Dieu écrasera la tête de ses ennemis, le crâne chevelu de celui qui marche dans ses forfaits.But God will smite through the head of his enemies, The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness.God will show that he defeated his enemies. God will punish the people who fought against him.
22The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:Le Seigneur a dit: Je les ramènerai de Bassan, je les ramènerai des profondeurs de la mer;The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depths of the sea;My Master said, I’ll bring the enemy back from Bashan, I’ll bring the enemy from the west,
23That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.Afin que tu plonges ton pied dans le sang, que la langue de tes chiens ait sa part des ennemis.That thou mayest crush [them], [dipping] thy foot in blood, That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from [thine] enemies.so you can walk in their blood, so your dogs can lick up their blood.
24They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.On a vu ta marche, ô Dieu, la marche de mon Dieu, de mon Roi, dans le sanctuaire.They have seen thy goings, O God, Even the goings of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.See God leading the victory parade! See my Holy God, my King, leading the victory parade!
25The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.Les chantres allaient devant; ensuite les joueurs de harpe, au milieu des jeunes filles qui battaient le tambourin.The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels.Singers come marching in front, followed by the musicians, surrounded by young girls playing tambourines.
26Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.Bénissez Dieu dans les assemblées, bénissez le Seigneur, vous qui sortez de la source d'Israël!Bless ye God in the congregations, Even the Lord, [ye that are] of the fountain of Israel.Praise God in the meeting place! Praise the Lord, people of Israel!
27There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.Là sont Benjamin le petit, le dominateur; les chefs de Juda et leur multitude; les chefs de Zabulon; les chefs de Nephthali.There is little Benjamin their ruler, The princes of Judah [and] their council, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.There is little Benjamin, leading them. And there is the great family of Judah. And there are the leaders of Zebulun and Naphtali.
28Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.Ton Dieu a ordonné ta force. Affermis, ô Dieu, ce que tu as fait pour nous!Thy God hath commanded thy strength: Strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.God, show us your power! Show us the power you used for us in the past.
29Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.Dans ton temple qui est à Jérusalem, les rois t'apporteront des présents.Because of thy temple at Jerusalem Kings shall bring presents unto thee.Kings will bring their wealth to you, to your palace in Jerusalem.
30Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.Tance la bête des roseaux, la troupe des taureaux avec les veaux des peuples, ceux qui se sont parés de lames d'argent. Il disperse les peuples qui se plaisent aux combats.Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver: He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war.Use your stick to make those animals do what you want. Make the bulls and cows in those nations obey you. You defeated those nations in war. Now make them bring silver to you.
31Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.Les grands viendront d'Égypte. Cush se hâtera de tendre les mains vers Dieu.Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God.Make them bring wealth from Egypt. God, make the Ethiopians bring their wealth to you.
32Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:Royaumes de la terre, chantez à Dieu! Psalmodiez au Seigneur (Sélah),Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; Oh sing praises unto the Lord; SelahKings on earth, sing to God! Sing songs of praise to our Master! SELAH
33To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.A celui qui s'avance porté sur les cieux des cieux, les cieux éternels! Voici, il fait retentir sa voix, sa puissante voix.To him that rideth upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old; Lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.Sing to God! He rides his chariot through the ancient skies. Listen to his powerful voice!
34Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.Rendez la force à Dieu! Sa majesté est sur Israël, sa force est dans les nues.Ascribe ye strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel, And his strength is in the skies.God is more powerful than any of your gods. The God of Israel makes his people strong.
35O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.De tes sanctuaires, ô Dieu, tu te montres redoutable. C'est lui, le Dieu d'Israël, qui donne force et puissance au peuple.
