Edom will be the slave who carries my sandals. I will defeat the Philistine people and shout about the victory!
9Qui me conduira vers la ville forte? Qui me mènera jusqu'en Édom?Who will bring me into the strong city? Who hath led me unto Edom?Chi mi condurrà nella città forte? Chi mi condurrà fino a Edom?But God, you left us! You did not go with our army!
10N'est-ce pas toi, ô Dieu, qui nous avais rejetés, qui ne sortais plus, ô Dieu, avec nos armées?Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.Non sarai proprio tu, o DIO, che ci hai respinto? Non uscirai più, o DIO, coi nostri eserciti?So who will lead me into the strong, protected city? Who will lead me to fight against Edom?
11Donne-nous du secours pour sortir de détresse; carGive us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man.Dacci aiuto contro il nemico, perché vano è il soccorso dell'uomo.God, help us defeat our enemy! People can’t help us!
12En Dieu nous combattrons avec vaillance, et c'est lui qui foulera nos adversaires.Through God we shall do valiantly; For he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
