As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.Al maestro del coro. A maskil from the Korah family. A deer gets thirsty for water from a stream. In the same way, my soul is thirsty for you, God.
Mon âme a soif de Dieu, du Dieu vivant; quand entrerai-je et me présenterai-je devant la face de Dieu?My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God?L'anima mia è assetata di DIO, del Dio vivente. Quando verrò e comparirò davanti a DIO?My soul is thirsty for the Living God. When can I go to meet with him?
My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?Le mie lacrime sono divenute il mio cibo giorno e notte, mentre mi dicono del continuo: Dov'è il tuo DIO?.My enemy constantly makes fun of me. He says, Where is your God? Has he come to save you yet?] I am so sad that my only food is the tears that fall from my eyes.
These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, How I went with the throng, and led them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping holyday.Ricordando queste cose, dentro di me do libero sfogo all'anima mia perché solevo andare con la folla, guidandola alla casa di DIO, in mezzo ai canti di gioia e di lode di una moltitudine in festa. My heart breaks as I remember the good times I had at the temple: I remember passing through the crowds as I led them all up to God’s temple. I remember the happy songs of praise as the crowds celebrated the festivals.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And [why] art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him [For] the help of his countenance.Perché ti abbatti, anima mia, perché gemi dentro di me? Why should I be so sad? Why should I be so upset? I should wait for God’s help. I will get the chance to praise him yet. He will save me!
Mon Dieu, mon âme est abattue en moi; aussi je me souviens de toi au pays du Jourdain et des Hermons, au mont de Mitséar.O my God, my soul is cast down within me: Therefore do I remember thee from the land of the Jordan, And the Hermons, from the hill Mizar.O DIO mio, l'anima mia è abbattuta dentro di me; perciò mi ricordo di te dal paese del Giordano e dalle cime dell'Hermon, dal monte Mitsar. My God, I am so sad because I must remember you from this place, from this small hill where the Hermon mountains and the Jordan River meet.
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterfalls: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.Un abisso chiama un altro abisso, al fragore delle tue cascate, tutti i tuoi flutti e le tue onde sono passati sopra di me.I hear the crashing of the water as water from deep in the earth spills over the waterfall. Lord, your waves are crashing all around me and washing over me!
De jour, l'Éternel enverra sa grâce, et de nuit son cantique sera dans ma bouche; je prierai le Dieu qui est ma vie;[Yet] Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day-time; And in the night his song shall be with me, [Even] a prayer unto the God of my life. Every day the Lord shows his true love and every night, I have a song for him, a prayer for my Living God.
Je dirai à Dieu, mon rocher: Pourquoi m'as-tu oublié? Pourquoi marcherai-je en deuil, sous l'oppression de l'ennemi?I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?Io dirò a Dio, mia rocca: Perché mi hai dimenticato? Perché vado in giro vestito a lutto per l'oppressione del nemico?I speak to God, my Rock, I say, Lord, why did you forget me? Why must I suffer such sadness because of the cruelty of my enemy?
Mes os se brisent, quand mes ennemis m'outragent, disant chaque jour: Où est ton Dieu?As with a sword in my bones, mine adversaries reproach me, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?Le mie ossa soffrono pene mortali a motivo degli insulti dei miei nemici che mi dicono del continuo: Dov'è il tuo DIO?.My enemy constantly insults me and strikes a deadly blow when he asks me, Where is your God? Has he come to save you yet?
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, [Who is] the help of my countenance, and my God. Psalm 43Perché ti abbatti, anima mia perché gemi dentro di me? Spera in DIO, perché io lo celebrerò ancora, egli è la mia salvezza e il mio DIO.Why should I be so sad? Why should I be so upset? I should wait for God’s help. I will get the chance to praise him yet. He will save me!
