Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil. To the director. A song of David. A person who helps poor people succeed will get many blessings. When trouble comes, the Lord will save that person.
Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive, And he shall be blessed upon the earth; And deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies.L'Eterno lo custodirà e lo manterrà in vita; egli sarà reso felice sulla terra, e tu non lo darai in balìa dei suoi nemici. The Lord will protect that person and save his life. That person will be blessed on earth. God will not let that person’s enemies destroy him.
Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.L'Eterno lo sosterrà sul letto d'infermità; nella sua malattia tu, o Eterno, trasformerai completamente il suo letto. When that person is sick and in bed, the Lord will give him strength. That person may be sick in bed, but the Lord will make him well!
J'ai dit: Éternel, aie pitié de moi, guéris mon âme, car j'ai péché contre toi!I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.Io ho detto: O Eterno, abbi pietà di me; guarisci l'anima mia, perché ho peccato contro di te.I said, Lord, be kind to me. I sinned against you, but forgive me and make me well.
Mine enemies speak evil against me, [saying], When will he die, and his name perish?I miei nemici mi augurano del male, dicendo: Quando morrà e quando perirà il suo nome?.My enemies say bad things about me. They are saying, When will he die and be forgotten?
And if he come to see [me], he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.Se uno di loro viene a vedermi, dice il falso, mentre il suo cuore accumula iniquità; poi esce fuori e la sparge in giro.People come to visit me, but they don’t say what they are really thinking. They come just to get some news about me, Then they go and spread their rumors.
Tous ceux qui me haïssent chuchotent entre eux contre moi; à mes côtés, ils méditent ma perte. All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise my hurt.Tutti quelli che mi odiano bisbigliano insieme contro di me; contro di me tramano il male,My enemies whisper bad things about me. They are plotting against me.
An evil disease, [say they], cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.dicendo: Un male terribile gli si è attaccato addosso e non si rialzerà mai più dal luogo in cui giace. They say, He did something wrong. That is why he is sick. I hope he never gets well.
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me.Persino il mio intimo amico, su cui facevo affidamento e che mangiava il mio pane, ha alzato contro di me il suo calcagno,My best friend ate with me. I trusted him. But now, even he has turned against me.
But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them. So, Lord, please be kind to me. Let me get up, and I will pay them back.
By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.Da questo so che tu mi gradisci: se il mio nemico non trionfa su di me.Lord, don’t let my enemy hurt me. Then I will know that you didn’t send them to hurt me.
Mais tu me soutiens dans mon intégrité; tu m'as établi devant toi pour toujours. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever. I was innocent and you supported me. You let me stand and serve you forever.
Amen! oui, Amen!Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. Book II Psalm 42 For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah. Amen, amen.Bless the Lord, God of Israel! He always was, and he always will be. Amen and Amen!
