Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness. Don’t get upset at evil people. Don’t be jealous of people who do bad things.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb.perché saranno presto falciati come il fieno e appassiranno come l'erba verde.Evil people are like grass and green plants that quickly turn brown and die.
Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on [his] faithfulness. If you trust the Lord and do good things, you will live and enjoy the many things that the land gives.
Delight thyself also in Jehovah; And he will give thee the desires of thy heart. Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you what you want.
Commit thy way unto Jehovah; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass. Depend on the Lord. Trust him, and he will do what must be done.
And he will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, And thy justice as the noon-day. Let your goodness and fairness shine like the sun at noon.
Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Trust the Lord and wait for his help. Don’t be upset when bad people succeed. Don’t be upset when bad people make evil plans and their plans succeed.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself, [it tendeth] only to evil-doing. Don’t be angry! Don’t get mad! Don’t become so upset that you also want to do bad things.
For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land. Why? Because evil people will be destroyed. But people that call to the Lord for help will get the land God promised.
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be.Ancora un po' e l'empio non sarà più; sì, tu cercherai attentamente il suo posto, e non ci sarà più.In a short time there will be no more evil people. You might look for those people, but they will all be gone!
But the meek shall inherit the land, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Humble people will get the land God promised. And they will enjoy peace.
The wicked plotteth against the just, And gnasheth upon him with his teeth.L'empio congiura contro il giusto e digrigna i denti contro di lui.Evil people plan bad things against good people. Those evil people show they are angry by grinding their teeth at good people.
The Lord will laugh at him; For he seeth that his day is coming. But our Master laughs at those evil people. He sees what will happen to them.
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay such as are upright in the way. Bad people get their swords and aim their bows. They want to kill poor, helpless people. They want to kill good, honest people.
Their sword shall enter into their own heart, And their bows shall be broken. But their bows will break. Their swords will go into their own hearts.
Better is a little that the righteous hath Than the abundance of many wicked. A few good people are better than a large crowd of evil people.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; But Jehovah upholdeth the righteous. Why? Because evil people will be destroyed. But the Lord cares for good people.
Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; And their inheritance shall be for ever.L'Eterno conosce i giorni degli uomini integri, e la loro eredità durerà in eterno. The Lord protects pure people all their life. Their reward will continue forever.
They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. When trouble comes, good people will not be destroyed. When times of hunger come, good people will have plenty to eat.
But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; In smoke shall they consume away. But evil people are the Lord’s enemies, and those evil people will be destroyed. Their valleys will become dry and burn. They will be completely destroyed.
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.L'empio prende in prestito e non restituisce, ma il giusto ha pietà e dona.An evil man quickly borrows money and never pays it back. But a good man gives freely to other people.
For such as are blessed of him shall inherit the land; And they that are cursed of him shall be cut off. If a good person blesses people, then they will get the land God promised. But if he asks for bad things to happen, then those people will be destroyed.
A man`s goings are established of Jehovah; And he delighteth in his way.I passi dell'uomo sono guidati dall'Eterno, quando egli gradisce le sue vie.The Lord helps a soldier walk carefully. The Lord keeps the soldier from falling.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand. If the soldier runs and attacks his enemy, then the Lord holds the soldier’s hand, and keeps him from falling.
J'ai été jeune, et je suis devenu vieux; mais je n'ai point vu le juste abandonné, ni sa postérité mendiant son pain.I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread.sono stato fanciullo ed ora sono divenuto vecchio, ma non ho mai visto il giusto abbandonato, né la sua progenie mendicare il pane.I was young, and now I am old. And I have never seen God abandon good people. I have never seen good people’s children begging for food.
All the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth; And his seed is blessed. A good man gives freely to other people. And a good man’s children are a blessing.
Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell for evermore. If you refuse to do bad things, and if you do good things, then you will live forever.
For Jehovah loveth justice, And forsaketh not his saints; They are preserved for ever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The Lord loves fairness. He will not leave his followers without help. The Lord will always protect his followers, but he will destroy wicked people.
The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell therein for ever.I giusti erediteranno la terra e vi abiteranno per sempre.Good people will get the land God promised. They will live on it forever.
The mouth of the righteous talketh of wisdom, And his tongue speaketh justice. A good person gives good advice. His decisions are fair to every person.
The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide. He has learned the Lord’s teachings. And he will never stop living right.
The wicked watcheth the righteous, And seeketh to slay him.L'empio spia il giusto e cerca di ucciderlo. But bad people are always looking for ways to kill good people.
Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged.L'Eterno non lo lascerà nelle sue mani e non permetterà che sia condannato, quando sarà giudicato. The Lord will not abandon good people when they are trapped by bad people. God will not let good people be judged guilty.
Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will exalt thee to inherit the land: When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.Spera fermamente nell'Eterno e segui la sua via, ed egli t'innalzerà affinché tu erediti la terra, quando gli empi saranno sterminati, tu lo vedrai.Do what the Lord says and wait for his help. The Lord will make you the winner, and you will get the land God promised, when he forces the bad people to leave.
J'ai vu le méchant terrible et s'étendant comme un arbre vigoureux.I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil. I saw a wicked person that was powerful. He was like a strong, healthy tree.
But one passed by, and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.ma poi è scomparso, ed ecco, non è più; ho cercato, ma non si è più trovato. But then he was gone. I looked for him, but I couldn’t find him.
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For there is a [happy] end to the man of peace. Be pure and honest. Peace loving people will have many descendants.
As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together; The end of the wicked shall be cut off. But people who break the law will be completely destroyed. And their descendants will be forced to leave the land.
But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The Lord saves good people. When good people have troubles, the Lord is their strength.
And Jehovah helpeth them, and rescueth them; He rescueth them from the wicked, and saveth them, Because they have taken refuge in him. Psalm 38 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.E l'Eterno li aiuta e li libera, li libera dagli empi e li salva, perché si sono rifugiati in lui.The Lord helps good people and saves them. Good people depend on the Lord, and he saves them from bad people.
