Psaume de David. Éternel, défends-moi contre mes adversaires; combats ceux qui me combattent!Strive thou, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me: Fight thou against them that fight against me.Di Davide. O EternoDavid’s song Lord, fight my battles. Fight my wars!
Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help. Lord, pick up the shield and buckler. Get up and help me.
Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that pursue me: Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. Take a spear and javelin and fight the people that are chasing me. Lord, tell my soul, I will save you.
Let them be put to shame and brought to dishonor that seek after my soul: Let them be turned back and confounded that devise my hurt. Some people are trying to kill me. Disappoint them and make them ashamed. Make them turn and run away. Those people are planning to hurt me. Defeat them and embarrass them.
Let them be as chaff before the wind, And the angel of Jehovah driving [them] on.Siano come pula al vento e l'angelo dell'Eterno li scacci.Make those people be like chaff blown by the wind. Let them be chased by the Lord’s angel.
Let their way be dark and slippery, And the angel of Jehovah pursuing them. Lord, make their road dark and slippery. Let the Lord’s angel chase them.
For without cause have they hid for me their net [in] a pit; Without cause have they digged [a pit] for my soul. I did nothing wrong, but those people tried to trap me. For no reason at all, they tried to trap me.
Qu'une ruine imprévue l'atteigne! Qu'il soit pris au filet qu'il a caché! Qu'il y tombe et qu'il périsse!Let destruction come upon him unawares; And let his net that he hath hid catch himself: With destruction let him fall therein. So, Lord, let them fall into their own traps. Let them stumble into their own nets. Let some unknown danger catch them.
And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah: It shall rejoice in his salvation. Then I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be happy when he saves me.
All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, Who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him?Tutte le mie ossa diranno: O Eterno chi è pari a te, che liberi il misero da chi è più forte di lui, il misero e il bisognoso da chi lo deruba?.With my whole self I will say, Lord, there is no one like you. You save a poor person from people that are stronger. You take things from strong people, and you give those things to that poor, helpless person.
Unrighteous witnesses rise up; They ask me of things that I know not.Testimoni spietati si levano contro di me e mi domandano cose delle quali non so nulla.A group of witnesses are planning to hurt me. Those people will ask me questions that I know nothing about.
They reward me evil for good, [To] the bereaving of my soul.Mi rendono male per bene, lasciando così sconsolata la mia vita.I have done only good things. But those people will do bad things to me. Lord, give me the good things I deserve.
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into mine own bosom. When those people were sick, I was sad for them. I showed my sadness by not eating. Is this what I get for praying for them?
I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother. I wore clothes of sadness for those people. I treated those people like my friends or even like brothers. I was sad, like a man crying because his mother had died. I wore black clothes to show my sadness for those people. I walked with my head bowed in sadness.
Mais quand j'ai chancelé, ils se sont rassemblés joyeux; ils se sont rassemblés, me frappant à mon insu, me déchirant sans cesse. But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; They did tear me, and ceased not:Ma quando io ho inciampato, essi si sono rallegrati e si sono radunati insieme; si sono radunati contro di me dei calunniatori, che io non conoscevo, mi hanno lacerato senza posa. But when I made a mistake, those people laughed at me. Those people were not really friends. I didn’t even know them. But they surrounded me and attacked me.
Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth.Assieme a dei malvagi buffoni da mensa, digrignano i denti contro di me.They used bad language and made fun of me. Those people showed they were angry at me by grinding their teeth.
Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, My darling from the lions.O Signore, fino a quando starai a guardare? My Master, how long will you watch these bad things happen? Those people are trying to destroy me. Lord, save my life. Save my dear life from those bad people. They are like lions.
Je te célébrerai dans la grande assemblée; je te louerai au milieu d'un peuple nombreux.I will give thee thanks in the great assembly: I will praise thee among much people.Io ti celebrerò nella grande assemblea, ti loderò in mezzo a un popolo numeroso.Lord, I will praise you in the great assembly. I will praise you when I am with the powerful people.
Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; Neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. My lying enemies will not keep laughing. Surely my enemies will be punished for their secret plans.
For they speak not peace; But they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land.perché essi non parlano mai di pace, ma tramano inganni contro la gente pacifica del paese. My enemies are not really making plans for peace. They are secretly making plans to do bad things to the peaceful people in this country.
Ils ont ouvert contre moi leur bouche, disant: Ah! ah! notre oeil a vu!Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me; They said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.Sì, allargano la loro bocca contro di me e dicono: Ah, ah! L'abbiamo visto con i nostri occhi. My enemies are saying bad things about me. They tell lies and say, Aha! We know what you are doing!
Tu l'as vu, Éternel; ne te tais point!Thou hast seen it, O Jehovah; keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.O Eterno, tu hai visto queste cose, non tacere; o Signore, non allontanarti da me.Lord, surely you can see what is happening. So don’t keep quiet. Don’t leave me.
Seigneur, ne sois pas loin de moi! Réveille-toi, lève-toi pour me faire droit, mon Dieu, mon Seigneur, pour défendre ma cause!Stir up thyself, and awake to the justice [due] unto me, [Even] unto my cause, my God and my Lord. Lord, wake up! Get up! My God and my Lord, fight for me, and bring me justice.
Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.Giudicami secondo la tua giustizia, o Eterno, DIO mio, e fa' che essi non si rallegrino di me,Lord my God, judge me with your fairness. Don’t let those people laugh at me.
Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it: Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.e non dicano in cuor loro: Ah, proprio come volevamo; e non dicano: L'abbiamo divorato.Don’t let those people say, Aha! We got what we wanted! Lord, don’t let them say, We destroyed him!
Let them be put to shame and confounded together that rejoice at my hurt: Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.Siano svergognati e confusi tutti quelli che si rallegrano del mio male; siano coperti di vergogna e di vituperio quelli che si esaltano contro di me.I hope that all my enemies will be ashamed and embarrassed. Those people were happy when bad things happened to me. They thought they were better than me! So let those people be covered with shame and humiliation.
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yea, let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, Who hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Some people want good things to happen to me. I hope those people will be very happy! Those people always say, The Lord is great! He wants what is best for his servant.
And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness [And] of thy praise all the day long. Psalm 36 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of Jehovah. So Lord, I tell people how good you are. I praise you every day.
