Au maître-chantre. Psaume de David. Éternel, tu m'as sondé, et tu m'as connu.O Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].Al maestro del coro. Salmo di Davide. Tu mi hai investigatoTo the director. One of David’s songs of praise. Lord, you tested me. You know all about me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts from far away.
Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways. Lord, you know where I am going and when I am lying down. You know everything I do.
For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether. Lord, you know what I want to say, even before the words leave my mouth.
Tu me tiens serré par-derrière et par-devant, et tu as mis ta main sur moi.Thou hast beset me behind and before, And laid thy hand upon me.Tu mi cingi di dietro e davanti e metti la tua mano su di me.Lord, you are all around me—in front and in back of me. You gently put your hand on me.
Science trop merveilleuse pour moi, si élevée que je n'y puis atteindre![Such] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain unto it.La tua conoscenza è troppo sublime per me talmente alta che non posso raggiungerla.I am amazed at what you know. It is too much for me to understand.
Où irais-je loin de ton Esprit, et où fuirais-je loin de ta face?Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? Your Spirit is in every place I go. Lord, I can’t escape you.
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.Se salgo in cielo, tu sei là; se stendo il mio letto nello Sceol, ecco, tu sei anche là.Lord, if I go up to heaven, you are there. If I go down to the place of death, you are there.
Si je prends les ailes de l'aube du jour, et que j'aille habiter au bout de la mer,If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;Se prendo le ali dell'alba e vado a dimorare all'estremità del mare,Lord, if I go east where the sun rises, you are there. If I go west to the sea, you are there.
Là même, ta main me conduira, et ta droite me saisira.Even there shall thy hand lead me, And thy right hand shall hold me.anche là la tua mano mi guiderà e la tua destra mi afferrerà.Even there your right hand holds me, and you lead me by the hand.
Si je dis: Au moins les ténèbres me couvriront; la nuit devient lumière autour de moi;If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night;Se dico: Certo le tenebre mi nasconderanno, persino la notte diventerà luce intorno a me;Lord, I might try to hide from you and say, The day has changed to night. Surely the darkness will hide me.
Even the darkness hideth not from thee, But the night shineth as the day: The darkness and the light are both alike [to thee].le tenebre stesse non possono nasconderti nulla, anzi la notte risplende come il giorno; le tenebre e la luce, sono uguali per te.But even darkness is not dark to you, Lord, The night is as bright as day to you.
Car c'est toi qui as formé mes reins, qui m'as façonné dans le sein de ma mère.For thou didst form my inward parts: Thou didst cover me in my mother`s womb.Sì, tu hai formato le mie interiora, tu mi hai intessuto nel grembo di mia madre.Lord, you made my whole body. You knew all about me while I was still in my mother’s body.
I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well. Lord, I praise you! You made me in an amazing and wonderful way. I know very well that what you did is wonderful!
My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, [And] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. You know all about me. You watched my bones grow while my body took shape, hidden in my mother’s body.
Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, [Even] the days that were ordained [for me], When as yet there was none of them.I tuoi occhi videro la massa informe del mio corpo, e nel tuo libro erano già scritti tutti i giorni che erano stati fissati per me anche se nessuno di essi esisteva ancora. You watched my body parts grow. You listed them all in your book. You watched me every day. Not one of them is missing.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!Oh, quanto mi sono preziosi i tuoi pensieri o DIO! Quanto grande è l'intero loro numero!Your thoughts are important to me. God, you know so much!
Les veux-je compter? Elles sont plus nombreuses que le sable. Suis-je réveillé? Je suis encore avec toi.If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with thee. If I could count them, they would be more than all the grains of sand. And when I finished, I would still be with you.
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.Certamente tu ucciderai l'empio o DIO; perciò voi, uomini di sangue, allontanatevi da me.God, kill the wicked people. Take those murderers away from me.
For they speak against thee wickedly, And thine enemies take [thy name] in vain.Essi parlano contro di te perfidamente, i tuoi nemici fanno uso del tuo nome invano. They say bad things about you. They say bad things about your name.
Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate the people who hate you. I hate the people who turn against you.
I hate them with perfect hatred: They are become mine enemies.Io li odio di un odio perfetto, essi son divenuti miei nemici.I hate them completely! Your enemies are also my enemies.
Sonde-moi, ô Dieu, et connais mon coeur; éprouve-moi, et connais mes pensées.Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts;Investigami, O DIO, e conosci il mio cuore; provami e conosci i miei pensieri;Lord, look at me and know my heart. Test me and know my thoughts.
And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 140 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.e vedi se vi è in me alcuna via iniqua, e guidami per la via eterna.See if I have any evil thoughts. And guide me on the path that continues forever.
