Bless Jehovah, O my soul. O Jehovah my God, thou art very great; Thou art clothed with honor and majesty:My soul, praise the Lord! Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with glory and honor.
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain; You wear light like a person wears a robe. You spread the skies like a curtain.
Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; Who maketh the clouds his chariot; Who walketh upon the wings of the wind;God, you built your home above them. You use the thick clouds like a chariot, and ride across the sky on the wings of the wind.
Who maketh winds his messengers; Flames of fire his ministers;God, you made your angels like the wind, and your servants like fire.
Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be moved for ever.God, you built the earth on its foundations, so it will never be destroyed.
Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a vesture; The waters stood above the mountains. You covered it with water like a blanket. The water covered the mountains.
At thy rebuke they fled; At the voice of thy thunder they hasted awayBut you gave the command, and the water rushed away. God, you shouted at the water, and the water rushed away.
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down) Unto the place which thou hadst founded for them. The water flowed down from the mountains, into the valleys, and then to the places you made for it.
Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; That they turn not again to cover the earth. You set the limits for the seas. And the water will never again rise to cover the earth.
He sendeth forth springs into the valleys; They run among the mountains;God, you cause water to flow from the springs into the streams. It flows down through the mountain streams.
They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild asses quench their thirst. The streams water all the wild animals. Even the wild donkeys come there to drink.
By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation; They sing among the branches.Wild birds come to live by the pools. They sing in the branches of nearby trees.
He watereth the mountains from his chambers: The earth is filled with the fruit of thy works.God sends rain down onto the mountains. The things God made give the earth everything it needs.
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, And herb for the service of man; That he may bring forth food out of the earth,God makes the grass grow to feed the animals. He gives us the plants that we work to grow. Those plants give us food from the earth.
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, [And] oil to make his face to shine, And bread that strengtheneth man`s heart.God gives us the wine that makes us happy, the oil that makes our skin soft, and the food that makes us strong.
The trees of Jehovah are filled [with moisture], The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; The great cedar trees of Lebanon belong to the Lord. The Lord planted those trees, and he gives them the water they need.
Where the birds make their nests: As for the stork, the fir-trees are her house.Birds make their nests in those trees. Large storks live in the fir trees.
The high mountains are for the wild goats; The rocks are a refuge for the conies. The high mountains are a home for wild goats. The large rocks are hiding places for rock-badgers.
He appointed the moon for seasons: The sun knoweth his going down.God, you gave us the moon to show us when the holidays begin. And the sun always knows when to set.
Thou makest darkness, and it is night, Wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth. You made darkness to be the night—the time when wild animals come out and roam around.
The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God.Lions roar as they attack, as if they are asking God for the food he gives them.
The sun ariseth, they get them away, And lay them down in their dens. Then the sun rises, and the animals go back to their homes and rest.
Man goeth forth unto his work And to his labor until the evening. Then people go out to do their work. And they work until evening.
Tu les as toutes faites avec sagesse; la terre est pleine de tes richesses.O Jehovah, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: The earth is full of thy riches.Lord, you have done many wonderful things. The earth is full of the things you made. We see your wisdom in everything you do.
Yonder is the sea, great and wide, Wherein are things creeping innumerable, Both small and great beasts.Look at the ocean. It is so big! And so many things live there! There are creatures large and small—too many to count!
There go the ships; There is leviathan, whom thou hast formed to play therein.Ships travel over the ocean while Leviathan, the sea creature you made, plays there in the sea.
These wait all for thee, That thou mayest give them their food in due season.God, all of these things depend on you. You give them food at the right time.
Thou givest unto them, they gather; Thou openest thy hand, they are satisfied with good.God, you give all the living things the food they eat. You open your hands, filled with good food, and they eat until they are full.
Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; Thou takest away their breath, they die, And return to their dust. And when you turn away from them, they become frightened. Their spirits leave them; they grow weak and die; and their bodies become dust again.
Thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are created; And thou renewest the face of the ground. But when you send out your Spirit, Lord, they become healthy! And you make the land like new again!
Let the glory of Jehovah endure for ever; Let Jehovah rejoice in his works:May the Lord’s glory continue forever! May the Lord enjoy the things he made.
Who looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke. The Lord can just look at the earth, and it will shake. He can touch the mountains and smoke will begin to rise from them.
I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. All my life I will sing to the Lord. I will sing praises to the Lord as long as I live.
Que ma méditation lui soit agréable! Je me réjouirai en l'Éternel.Let thy meditation be sweet unto him: I will rejoice in Jehovah.I hope these words I said will make him happy. I am happy with the Lord.
Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. And let the wicked be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Praise ye Jehovah. Psalm 105May sin disappear from the earth. May wicked people be gone forever. My soul, praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
