Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?O Eterno, perché te ne stai lontano? Perché ti nascondi in tempi di avversità?Lord, why do you stay so far away? People with troubles can’t see you.
In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.L'empio nella sua superbia perseguita con violenza il misero; essi saranno presi nelle macchinazioni stesse da loro ideate,Proud and wicked people make evil plans. And they hurt poor people.
For the wicked boasteth of his heart`s desire, And the covetous renounceth, [yea], contemneth Jehovah.perché l'empio si gloria dei desideri dell'anima sua, benedice il rapace e disprezza l'Eterno.Evil people brag about the things they want. And those greedy people curse God. In this way, the evil people show that they hate the Lord.
The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, [saith], He will not require [it]. All his thoughts are, There is no God.L'empio, nell'arroganza del suo volto, non cerca l'Eterno; tutti i suoi pensieri sono: DIO non c'èBad people are too proud to follow God. They make all their evil plans. And they act like there is no God.
His ways are firm at all times; Thy judgments are far above out of his sight: As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them. Bad people are always doing crooked things. They don’t even notice God’s laws and wise teachings. God’s enemies ignore his teachings.
He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; To all generations I shall not be in adversity. Those people think bad things will never happen to them. They say, We will have fun and never be punished.
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression: Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity. Those people are always cursing. They are always saying bad things about other people. They are always planning evil things to do.
He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; In the secret places doth he murder the innocent; His eyes are privily set against the helpless.Egli sta in agguato nei villaggi, uccide l'innocente in luoghi nascosti, i suoi occhi spiano l'infelice. Those people hide in secret places and wait to catch people. They hide, looking for people to hurt. They kill innocent people.
He lurketh in secret as a lion in his covert; He lieth in wait to catch the poor: He doth catch the poor, when he draweth him in his net. Those bad people are like lions trying to catch the animals they will eat. They attack poor people. The poor people are caught in the traps that the evil people make.
He croucheth, he boweth down, And the helpless fall by his strong ones. Again and again, those bad people hurt poor, hurting people.
He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten; He hideth his face; he will never see it.Egli dice nel suo cuore: Dio dimentica, nasconde la sua faccia, non lo vedrà mai.So those poor people begin thinking, God has forgotten us! He has turned away from us forever! God doesn’t see what is happening to us!
Lève-toi, Éternel! O Dieu, lève ta main, n'oublie point les affligés!Arise, O Jehovah; O God, lift up thy hand: Forget not the poor. Lord, get up and do something! God, punish those bad people! Don’t forget the poor people!
Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God, And say in his heart, Thou wilt not require [it]?Perché l'empio disprezza DIO? Why do bad people turn against God? Because they think he won’t punish them.
Tu l'as vu! Thou hast seen [it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: The helpless committeth [himself] unto thee; Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless. Lord, surely you see the cruel and evil things that bad people do. Look at those things, and do something! People with many troubles come to you for help. Lord, you are the One who helps orphans. So help them!
Break thou the arm of the wicked; And as for the evil man, seek out his wickedness till thou find none. Lord, destroy the evil people.
Jehovah is King for ever and ever: The nations are perished out of his land.L'Eterno è re per sempre; le nazioni sono scomparse dalla sua terra.Remove those people from your land!
Éternel, tu entends le souhait des affligés; affermis leurs coeurs, prête-leur une oreille attentive,Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;O Eterno, tu dai ascolto al desiderio degli umili; tu rafforzi il loro cuore, le tue orecchie sono attente,Lord, you heard what poor people want. Listen to their prayers and do what they ask!
To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, That man who is of the earth may be terrible no more. Psalm 11 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.per far ragione all'orfano e all'afflitto, affinché l'uomo fatto di terra smetta d'incutere spavento.Lord, protect the children without parents. Don’t let sad people suffer more troubles. Make bad people too afraid to stay here.
