| 12 | The wicked desireth the net of evil men; But the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit]. | L'empio desidera la preda dei malvagi, ma la radice dei giusti porta frutto. |
| 13 | In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man; But the righteous shall come out of trouble. | Il malvagio è preso in trappola dal peccato delle sue labbra, ma il giusto sfuggirà all'avversità. |
| 14 | A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth; And the doings of a man`s hands shall be rendered unto him. | L'uomo sarà saziato di beni per il frutto della sua bocca, e ognuno riceverà la ricompensa secondo l'opera delle sue mani. |
| 15 | The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; But he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel. | La via dello stolto è diritta ai suoi occhi, ma chi ascolta i consigli è saggio. |
| 16 | A fool`s vexation is presently known; But a prudent man concealeth shame. | Lo stolto fa vedere subito la sua irritazione, ma l'uomo prudente nasconde il disonore. |
| 17 | He that uttereth truth showeth forth righteousness; But a false witness, deceit. | Chi dice la verità proclama ciò che è giusto, ma il falso testimone proferisce inganno. |
| 18 | There is that speaketh rashly like the piercings of a sword; But the tongue of the wise is health. | Chi parla sconsideratamente è come se trafiggesse con la spada, ma la lingua dei saggi reca guarigione. |
| 19 | The lip of truth shall be established for ever; But a lying tongue is but for a moment. | Il labbro verace sarà reso stabile per sempre, ma la lingua bugiarda dura solo un istante. |
| 20 | Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil; But to the counsellors of peace is joy. | L'inganno è nel cuore di quelli che macchinano il male, ma per quelli che consigliano pace e gioia. |

| 27 | The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting; But the precious substance of men [is to] the diligent. | Il pigro non arrostisce la sua selvaggina, ma la solerzia è per l'uomo un bene prezioso. |
| 28 | In the way of righteousness is life; And in the pathway thereof there is no death. | Sul sentiero della giustizia vi è vita, e su quel sentiero non vi è morte. |
