| 2 | Les prophètes les appelaient, et chaque fois ils s'en allaient d'auprès d'eux: ils sacrifiaient aux Baals et brûlaient de l'encens aux images taillées. | The more [the prophets] called them, the more they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baalim, and burned incense to graven images. | Ma più i profeti li hanno chiamati, più si sono allontanati da loro, hanno sacrificato ai Baal, e hanno bruciato incenso, alle immagini scolpite. |

| 5 | Il ne retournera pas dans le pays d'Égypte, mais l'Assyrien sera son roi; car ils ont refusé de revenir à moi; | They shall not return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian shall be their king, because they refused to return [to me]. | Israele non ritornerà nel paese d'Egitto; ma l'Assiro sarà il suo re, perché hanno rifiutato di convertirsi. |

| 7 | Et mon peuple tient à se détourner de moi; on les appelle vers le Très - Haut: pas un d'eux ne l'exalte. | And my people are bent on backsliding from me: though they call them to [him that is] on high, none at all will exalt [him]. | Il mio popolo tende ad allontanarsi da me; malgrado invocano l'Altissimo, nessuno di essi lo esalta. |

Mon coeur est changé en moi; toutes ensemble, mes compassions se sont émues. | How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? [how] shall I cast thee off, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? [how] shall I set thee as Zeboiim? my heart is turned within me, my compassions are kindled together. | Come potrei abbandonarti, o Efraim, o lasciarti in balia di altri, o Israele? Come potrei renderti come Admah, o ridurti come Tseboim? Il mio cuore si commuove dentro di me, le mie compassioni si infiammano tutte. |
| 9 | Je ne donnerai pas cours à l'ardeur de ma colère, je ne détruirai pas de nouveau Éphraïm; car je suis Dieu, et non pas un homme, - le Saint, au milieu de toi; et je ne viendrai pas avec colère. | I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee; and I will not come in wrath. | Non darò sfogo alla mia ira ardente, non distruggerò Efraim di nuovo, perché sono Dio e non un uomo, il Santo in mezzo a te, e non verrò con ira. |

| 11 | ils accourront en émoi de l'Égypte comme un oiseau, et, comme une colombe, du pays d'Assyrie; et je les ferai habiter dans leurs maisons, dit l'Éternel. | They shall come trembling as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will make them to dwell in their houses, saith Jehovah. | Accorreranno tremanti come uccelli dall'Egitto e come colombe dal paese d'Assiria; e io li farò abitare nelle loro case, dice l'Eterno. |
| 12 | (12:1) Éphraïm m'entoure de mensonge, et la maison d'Israël de fraude; mais Judam marche encore avec Dieu, et avec les vrais saints. | Ephraim compasseth me about with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the Holy One. | Efraim mi circonda di menzogne e la casa d'Israele, d'inganno.
