| 2 | And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, | Et aussitôt que Jésus fut descendu de la barque, un homme, obsédé d'un esprit haineux, sortit des sépulcres et vint au-devant de lui. | E, come Gesù scese dalla barca, subito gli venne incontro dai sepolcri un uomo posseduto da uno spirito immondo, |
| 3 | Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: | Il faisait sa demeure dans les sépulcres, et personne ne pouvait le tenir lié, pas même avec des chaînes; | il quale aveva la sua dimora fra i sepolcri, e nessuno riusciva a tenerlo legato neanche con catene. |
| 4 | Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. | Car souvent, ayant eu les fers aux pieds, et ayant été lié de chaînes, il avait rompu les chaînes et brisé les fers; et personne ne pouvait le dompter. | Infatti più volte era stato legato con ceppi e con catene; ma egli aveva sempre spezzato le catene e infranto i ceppi; e nessuno era riuscito a domarlo. |
| 5 | And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. | Et il demeurait continuellement, nuit et jour, sur les montagnes et dans les sépulcres, criant et se meurtrissant avec des pierres. | Continuamente, notte e giorno, fra i sepolcri e su per i monti, andava gridando e picchiandosi con pietre. |
| 6 | But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, | Quand il eut vu Jésus de loin, il accourut et l'adora, | Ora, quando vide Gesù da lontano, egli accorse e gli si prostrò davanti, |
| 7 | And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. | Et il dit, criant à haute voix: Qu'y a-t-il entre toi et moi, Jésus, Fils du Dieu très-haut? Je te conjure par le nom de Dieu de ne point me tourmenter. | e dando un gran grido, disse: Che c'è fra me e te, Gesù Figlio del Dio altissimo? Io ti scongiuro, in nome di Dio, di non tormentarmi!. |
| 8 | For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. | Car Jésus lui disait: Esprit haineux, sors de cet homme. | Perché egli gli diceva: Spirito immondo, esci da quest'uomo!. |
| 9 | And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. | Et Jésus lui demanda: Comment t'appelles-tu? Et il répondit: Je m'appelle Légion; car nous sommes plusieurs. | Poi Gesù gli domandò: Qual è il tuo nome?. E quello rispose, dicendo: Io mi chiamo Legione, perché siamo molti. |
| 10 | And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. | Et il le priait instamment de ne pas les envoyer hors de cette contrée. | E lo supplicava con insistenza perché non li mandasse fuori da quella regione. |
| 11 | Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. | Or, il y avait là, vers les montagnes, un grand troupeau de pourceaux qui paissait. | Or vi era là, sul pendio del monte, un grande branco di porci che pascolava. |
| 12 | And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. | Et tous les contradicteurs le priaient en disant: Envoie-nous parmi ces pourceaux, afin que nous y entrions. Et aussitôt Jésus le leur permit. | Allora tutti i demoni lo pregarono, dicendo: Mandaci nei porci, perché entriamo in essi. |
| 13 | And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. | Alors ces esprits haineux étant sortis, entrèrent parmi les pourceaux, et le troupeau se précipita violemment d'une falaise dans la mer, et ils se noyèrent dans les flots; or il y en avait environ deux mille. | E Gesù prontamente lo permise loro; allora gli spiriti immondi, usciti, entrarono nei porci e il branco si precipitò giù per il dirupo nel mare, erano circa duemila, e affogarono nel mare. |
| 14 | And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. | Et ceux qui paissaient les pourceaux s'enfuirent, et en portèrent la nouvelle dans la ville et par la campagne. | Allora quelli che custodivano i porci fuggirono e diffusero la notizia in città e per le campagne; e la gente venne a vedere ciò che era accaduto. |
| 15 | And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. | Alors le peuple sortit pour voir ce qui était arrivé; et ils vinrent vers Jésus et virent le contradicteur, celui qui avait été dominé d’une légion de contradictions, assis, habillé et dans son bon sens; et ils furent remplis de crainte. | Giunti che furono da Gesù, videro l'indemoniato seduto, vestito e sano di mente, lui che era stato posseduto dalla Legione, ed ebbero paura. |
| 16 | And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. | Et ceux qui avaient vu cela, leur racontèrent ce qui était arrivé à celui qui avait été obsédé de contradictions et aux pourceaux. | E quelli che avevano visto l'accaduto, raccontarono loro ciò che era successo all'indemoniato e il fatto dei porci. |
| 17 | And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. | Alors ils se mirent à le prier de se retirer de leurs quartiers. | Allora essi cominciarono a pregarlo che se ne andasse dal loro territorio. |
| 18 | And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. | Et quand il fut entré dans la barque, celui qui avait été dominé le pria de lui permettre d'être avec lui. | Mentre egli saliva sulla barca, colui che era stato indemoniato lo pregava di poter rimanere con lui |
| 19 | Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. | Mais Jésus ne le lui permit pas, et il dit: Va-t'en dans ta maison vers tes parents, et raconte-leur les grandes choses que l'Éternel t'a faites, et comment il a eu pitié de toi. | ma Gesù non glielo permise; gli disse invece: Va' a casa tua dai tuoi e racconta loro quali grandi cose il Signore ti ha fatto e come ha avuto pietà di te. |
| 20 | And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. | Et il s'en alla, et se mit à publier dans la Décapole les grandes choses que Jésus lui avait faites; et ils étaient tous dans l'admiration. | Egli se ne andò e cominciò a predicare per la Decapoli tutto quanto Gesù gli aveva fatto; tutti restavano meravigliati. |
| 21 | And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. | Jésus étant repassé dans la barque à l'autre bord, une grande foule de peuple s'assembla auprès de lui et il était près de la mer. | E, quando Gesù passò nuovamente all'altra riva in barca, una grande folla si radunò intorno a lui; ed egli se ne stava in riva al mare. |
| 22 | And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, | Et un des chefs de la synagogue, nommé Jaïrus, vint, et l'ayant vu, se jeta à ses pieds, | Allora venne uno dei capi della sinagoga, di nome Iairo, il quale vedutolo, gli si gettò ai piedi, |
| 23 | And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. | Et le pria instamment, disant: Ma petite fille est à l'extrémité; viens lui imposer les mains, afin qu'elle soit guérie, et elle vivra. | e lo pregò con molta insistenza, dicendo: La mia figliola è agli estremi; vieni a imporle le mani, affinché sia guarita e viva. |
| 24 | And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. | Et Jésus s'en alla avec lui; et il fut suivi d'une grande foule, qui le pressait. | Ed egli se ne andò con lui. Una grande folla lo seguiva e gli si stringeva intorno. |
| 25 | And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, | Alors une femme malade d'une perte de sang, depuis douze ans, | Ora una donna che aveva un flusso di sangue già da dodici anni |
| 26 | And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, | Qui avait beaucoup souffert entre les mains de plusieurs médecins, et qui avait dépensé tout son bien sans en avoir reçu aucun soulagement, mais qui était plutôt allée en empirant, | e aveva molto sofferto da parte di parecchi medici, spendendo tutti i suoi averi senza alcun giovamento, anzi piuttosto peggiorando, |
| 27 | When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. | Ayant entendu parler de Jésus, vint dans la foule par-derrière, et toucha son vêtement. | avendo sentito parlare di Gesù, venne tra la folla alle sue spalle e toccò il suo vestito, |
| 28 | For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. | Car elle disait: Si je touche seulement ses vêtements, je serai guérie. | poiché diceva: Se solo tocco le sue vesti sarò guarita. |
| 29 | And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. | Et au même instant la perte de sang s'arrêta; et elle sentit en son corps qu'elle était guérie de son mal. | E immediatamente il flusso del suo sangue si stagnò, ed ella sentì nel suo corpo di essere guarita da quel male. |
| 30 | And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? | Aussitôt Jésus, connaissant en lui-même la vertu qui était sortie de lui, se tourna dans la foule, en disant: Qui a touché mon vêtement? | Ma subito Gesù, avvertendo in se stesso che una potenza era uscita da lui, voltatosi nella folla, disse: Chi mi ha toccato i vestiti?. |
| 31 | And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? | Et ses disciples lui dirent: Tu vois que la foule te presse et tu dis: Qui m'a touché? | E i suoi discepoli gli dissero: Non vedi che la folla ti stringe da ogni parte e tu dici: "chi mi ha toccato?". |
| 32 | And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. | Et il regardait tout autour, pour découvrir celle qui avait fait cela. | Ma egli guardava intorno per vedere colei che aveva fatto ciò. |
| 33 | But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. | Alors la femme, effrayée et tremblante, sachant ce qui avait été fait en sa personne, vint et se jeta à ses pieds, et lui dit toute la vérité. | Allora la donna, paurosa e tremante, sapendo quanto era avvenuto in lei, venne e gli si gettò ai piedi e gli disse tutta la verità. |
| 34 | And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. | Et Jésus lui dit: Ma fille, ta foi t'a guérie; va-t'en en paix, et sois délivrée de ta maladie. | Ma egli le disse: Figliola, la tua fede ti ha guarita; va' in pace e sii guarita dal tuo male. |
| 35 | While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? | Comme il parlait encore, des gens du chef de la synagogue vinrent lui dire: Ta fille est morte; ne donne pas davantage de peine au Maître. | Mentre egli stava ancora parlando, vennero alcuni dalla casa del capo della sinagoga, dicendo: La tua figlia è morta; perché importuni ancora il Maestro?. |
| 36 | As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. | Aussitôt que Jésus eut entendu cela, il dit au chef de la synagogue: Ne crains point, crois seulement. | Ma Gesù, appena intese ciò che si diceva, disse al capo della sinagoga: Non temere, credi solamente!. |
| 37 | And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. | Et il ne permit à personne de le suivre, sinon à Pierre, à Jacques et à Jean, frère de Jacques. | E non permise che alcuno lo seguisse, all'infuori di Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni, fratello di Giacomo. |
| 38 | And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. | Étant arrivé à la maison du chef de la synagogue, il vit qu'on y faisait un grand bruit, et des gens qui pleuraient et qui jetaient de grands cris. | E, giunto a casa del capo della sinagoga, vide un gran trambusto e gente che piangeva e urlava forte. |
| 39 | And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. | Et étant entré, il leur dit: Pourquoi faites-vous ce bruit, et pourquoi pleurez-vous? l'enfant n'est pas morte, mais elle dort. | Ed entrato, disse loro: Perché fate tanto chiasso e piangete? La fanciulla non è morta, ma dorme, |
| 40 | And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. | Et ils se moquaient de lui; mais les ayant tous fait sortir, il prit le père et la mère de l'enfant, et ceux qui étaient avec lui, et il entra dans le lieu où elle était couchée. | E quelli lo deridevano, ma egli, messili tutti fuori, prese con sé il padre, la madre della fanciulla e coloro che erano con lui, ed entrò là dove giaceva la fanciulla. |
| 41 | And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. | Et l'ayant prise par la main, il lui dit: Talitha coumi; c'est-à-dire: Petite fille, lève-toi, je te le dis. | Quindi presa la fanciulla per mano, le disse: Talitha cumi; che tradotto vuol dire: Fanciulla, ti dico: Alzati!. |
| 42 | And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. | Aussitôt la petite fille se leva et se mit à marcher, car elle était âgée de douze ans. Et ils en furent dans un grand ravissement. | E subito la fanciulla si alzò e si mise a camminare; ella aveva infatti dodici anni. Ed essi furono presi da un grande stupore. |
| 43 | And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. | Et il leur commanda fortement que personne ne le sût; et il dit qu'on donnât à manger à la petite fille. | Ma egli comandò loro con fermezza che nessuno lo venisse a sapere; poi ordinò che si desse da mangiare alla fanciulla. |
