Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob`s brother, saith Jehovah: yet I loved Jacob; | Io v'ho amati, dice l'Eterno. Ma voi dite: In che cosa ci hai amati?. | 3 | et j'ai haï Ésaü, et j'ai fait de ses montagnes une désolation, et j'ai livré son héritage aux chacals du désert. | but Esau I hated, and made his mountains a desolation, and [gave] his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness. | e ho odiato Esaù; ho fatto dei suoi monti una desolazione e ho dato la sua eredità agli sciacalli del deserto. |
| 4 | Si Édom dit: Nous sommes détruits, mais nous rebâtirons ce qui est ruiné, - ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées: Ils bâtiront, mais moi, je renverserai, et on les appellera contrée de méchanceté, et le peuple contre lequel l'Éternel est indigné à toujours. | Whereas Edom saith, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places; thus saith Jehovah of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and men shall call them The border of wickedness, and The people against whom Jehovah hath indignation for ever. | Anche se Edom, dicesse: "Noi siamo stati distrutti, ma torneremo a ricostruire i luoghi desolati", così dice l'Eterno degli eserciti. | 6 | Un fils honore son père, et un serviteur, son maître. Si donc je suis père, où est mon honneur? et si je suis maître, où est la crainte qui m'est due? dit l'Éternel des armées, à vous, sacrificateurs, qui méprisez mon nom. Et vous dites: En quoi avons-nous méprisé ton nom? | A son honoreth his father, and a servant his master: if then I am a father, where is mine honor? and if I am a master, where is my fear? saith Jehovah of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? | Un figlio onora il padre e un servo il suo signore. Se dunque io sono padre dov'è il mio onore? E se sono signore, dov'è il timore di me?, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti a voi, sacerdoti, che disprezzate il mio nome, eppure dite: "In che cosa abbiamo disprezzato il tuo nome?". |
| 7 | Vous présentez sur mon autel du pain souillé, et vous dites: En quoi t'avons-nous profané? En ce que vous dites: La table de l'Éternel est méprisable. | Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar. And ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of Jehovah is contemptible. | Voi offrite sul mio altare, cibi contaminati, eppure dite: "In che cosa ti abbiamo contaminato? Quando dite: "La mensa dell'Eterno è spregevole" |
| 8 | Et si vous présentez une bête aveugle en sacrifice, n'est-ce pas mal? et si vous en présentez une boiteuse et malade, n'est-ce pas mal? Offre-la donc à ton gouverneur: t'agréera-t-il, ou te recevra-t-il avec faveur? dit l'Éternel des armées. | And when ye offer the blind for sacrifice, it is no evil! and when ye offer the lame and sick, it is no evil! Present it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee? or will he accept thy person? saith Jehovah of hosts. | Quando offrite in sacrificio un animale cieco, non è male? Quando offrite un animale zoppo o malato, non è male? Presentalo dunque al tuo governatore. Sarà soddisfatto di te? Ti accetterà con favore?, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti. |
| 9 | Et maintenant, implorez donc Dieu, afin qu'il use de grâce envers nous. C'est par vos mains que cela a eu lieu: vous recevra-t-il avec faveur? dit l'Éternel des armées. | And now, I pray you, entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he accept any of your persons? saith Jehovah of hosts. | Ora dunque implorate il favore di Dio, perché abbia misericordia di noi. Sono le vostre mani che hanno fatto ciò, vi accetterà forse con favore?, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti. |
| 10 | Qui même d'entre vous fermerait les portes? et vous n'allumeriez pas le feu sur mon autel pour rien! Je ne prends pas plaisir en vous, dit l'Éternel des armées, et l'offrande, je ne l'agréerai pas de vos mains. | Oh that there were one among you that would shut the doors, that ye might not kindle [fire on] mine altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, saith Jehovah of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. | Oh, ci fosse almeno qualcuno tra di voi che chiudesse le porte! Allora non accendereste invano il fuoco sul mio altare. Io non prendo alcun piacere in voi, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti, né gradisco alcuna offerta dalle vostre mani. |
| 11 | Car, du soleil levant jusqu'au soleil couchant, mon nom sera grand parmi les nations, et, en tout lieu, l'encens sera brûlé à mon nom, et une offrande pure sera présentée, car mon nom sera grand parmi les nations, dit l'Éternel des armées. | For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name [shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense [shall be] offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name [shall be] great among the Gentiles, saith Jehovah of hosts. | Poiché dal sol levante fino al ponente sarà grande il mio nome fra le nazioni e in ogni luogo sarà offerto incenso, al mio nome e un'oblazione pura, perché il mio nome sarà grande fra le nazioni, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti. |
| 12 | Mais vous, vous le profanez, en ce que vous dites: La table du Seigneur est souillée; et ce qu'elle fournit, sa nourriture, est méprisable. | But ye profane it, in that ye say, The table of Jehovah is polluted, and the fruit thereof, even its food, is contemptible. | Ma voi lo profanate quando dite: "La mensa dell'Eterno è contaminata e il suo frutto, cioè il suo cibo, è spregevole". |
| 13 | Et vous dites: Voilà, quel ennui! et vous soufflez dessus, dit l'Éternel des armées, et vous apportez ce qui a été déchiré, et la bête boiteuse, et la malade; c'est ainsi que vous apportez l'offrande. Agréerais-je cela de votre main? dit l'Éternel. | Ye say also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith Jehovah of hosts; and ye have brought that which was taken by violence, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye bring the offering: should I accept this at your hand? saith Jehovah. | Voi dite pure: "Ah, che fatica!" e la trattate con disprezzo, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti. Così voi portate animali rubati, zoppi e malati; questa è l'offerta che portate. Potrei io gradirla dalle vostre mani?, dice l'Eterno. |
| 14 | Et maudit est celui qui trompe, et qui a dans son troupeau un mâle, et fait un voeu et sacrifie au Seigneur ce qui est corrompu; car je suis un grand roi, dit l'Éternel des armées, et mon nom est terrible parmi les nations. | But cursed be the deceiver, who hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a blemished thing; for I am a great King, saith Jehovah of hosts, and my name is terrible among the Gentiles. | Maledetto il fraudolento che ha nel suo gregge un maschio e fa un voto, ma sacrifica all'Eterno un animale difettoso. Poiché io sono un Re grande, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti, e il mio nome è tremendo fra le nazioni. |
