The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.	La parole qui fut adressée de par l'Eternel à Jérémie, la dixième année de Sédécias Roi de Juda, qui est l'an dix-huitième de Nébucadnetsar.	The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.
2	L'armée du roi de Babylone assiégeait alors Jérusalem ; et Jérémie, le prophète, était enfermé dans la cour de la prison qui était dans la maison du roi de Juda.	For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.	(Or l'armée du Roi de Babylone assiégeait alors Jérusalem, et Jérémie le Prophète était enfermé dans la cour de la prison, qui était dans la maison du Roi de Juda;	Now at that time the king of Babylon`s army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah`s house.
3	Sédécias, roi de Juda, l'avait fait enfermer, et lui avait dit : Pourquoi prophétises-tu, en disant : Ainsi parle l'Éternel : Voici, je livre cette ville entre les mains du roi de Babylone, et il la prendra ;	For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;	Car Sédécias Roi de Juda l'avait enfermé, et lui avait dit: pourquoi prophétises-tu? en disant: ainsi a dit l'Eternel: voici, je m'en vais livrer cette ville en la main du Roi de Babylone, et il la prendra.	For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
4	Sédécias, roi de Juda, n'échappera pas aux Chaldéens, mais il sera livré entre les mains du roi de Babylone, il lui parlera bouche à bouche, et ses yeux verront ses yeux ;	And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;	Et Sédécias Roi de Juda n'échappera point de la main des Caldéens, mais il sera certainement livré en la main du Roi de Babylone, et lui parlera bouche à bouche, et ses yeux verront les yeux de ce Roi.	and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
5	le roi de Babylone emmènera Sédécias à Babylone, où il restera jusqu'à ce que je me souvienne de lui, dit l'Éternel ; si vous vous battez contre les Chaldéens, vous n'aurez point de succès.	And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.	Et il emmènera Sédécias à Babylone, qui y demeurera jusqu’à ce que je le visite, dit l'Eternel; si vous combattez contre les Caldéens, vous ne prospérerez point;)	and he shall bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith Jehovah: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?
6	Jérémie dit : La parole de l'Éternel m'a été adressée, en ces mots :	And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	Jérémie donc dit: la parole de l'Eternel m'a été adressée, en disant:	And Jeremiah said, The word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
7	Voici, Hanameel, fils de ton oncle Schallum, va venir auprès de toi pour te dire : Achète mon champ qui est à Anathoth, car tu as le droit de rachat pour l'acquérir.	Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.	Voici Hanaméel fils de Sallum ton oncle, qui vient vers toi, pour te dire: achète-toi mon champ, qui est à Hanathoth; car tu as le droit de retrait lignager pour le racheter.	Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.
8	Et Hanameel, fils de mon oncle, vint auprès de moi, selon la parole de l'Éternel, dans la cour de la prison, et il me dit : Achète mon champ, qui est à Anathoth, dans le pays de Benjamin, car tu as le droit d'héritage et de rachat, achète-le ! Je reconnus que c'était la parole de l'Éternel.	So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.	Hanaméel donc, fils de mon oncle, vint à moi, selon la parole de l'Eternel, dans la cour de la prison, et me dit: achète, je te prie, mon champ qui est à Hanathoth, dans le territoire de Benjamin: car tu as le droit de possession héréditaire, et de retrait lignager, achète-le donc pour toi; et je connus alors que c'était la parole de l'Eternel.	So Hanamel mine uncle`s son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Jehovah, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.
9	J'achetai de Hanameel, fils de mon oncle, le champ qui est à Anathoth, et je lui pesai l'argent, dix-sept sicles d'argent.	And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.	Ainsi j'achetai le champ de Hanaméel, fils de mon oncle, qui est à Hanathoth; et je lui pesai l'argent, qui fut dix-sept sicles d'argent.	And I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel mine uncle`s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
10	J'écrivis un contrat, que je cachetai, je pris des témoins, et je pesai l'argent dans une balance.	And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.	Puis j'en écrivis le contrat, et le cachetai, et je pris des témoins après avoir pesé l'argent dans la balance;	And I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
11	Je pris ensuite le contrat d'acquisition, celui qui était cacheté, conformément à la loi et aux usages, et celui qui était ouvert ;	So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:	Et je pris le contrat d'acquisition, tant celui qui était cacheté, selon l'ordonnance et les statuts, que celui qui était ouvert.	So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, [according to] the law and custom, and that which was open:
12	et je remis le contrat d'acquisition à Baruc, fils de Nérija, fils de Machséja, en présence de Hanameel, fils de mon oncle, en présence des témoins qui avaient signé le contrat d'acquisition, et en présence de tous les juifs qui se trouvaient dans la cour de la prison.	And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.	Et je donnai le contrat d'acquisition à Baruc fils de Nérija, fils de Mahaséja, en présence d'Hanaméel fils de mon oncle, et des témoins qui s'étaient souscrits dans le contrat de l'acquisition, et en présence de tous les Juifs qui étaient assis dans la cour de la prison.	and I delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel mine uncle`s [son], and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the guard.
13	Et je donnai devant eux cet ordre à Baruc :	And I charged Baruch before them, saying,	Puis je commandai en leur présence à Baruc, en lui disant:	And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
14	Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël : Prends ces écrits, ce contrat d'acquisition, celui qui est cacheté et celui qui est ouvert, et mets-les dans un vase de terre, afin qu'ils se conservent longtemps.	Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.	Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: prends ces contrats ici, savoir ce contrat d'acquisition, qui est cacheté, et ce contrat qui est ouvert, et mets-les dans un pot de terre, afin qu'ils puissent se conserver longtemps.	Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.
15	Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël : On achètera encore des maisons, des champs et des vignes, dans ce pays.	For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.	Car ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: on achètera encore des maisons, des champs, et des vignes en ce pays.	For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.
16	Après que j'eus remis le contrat d'acquisition à Baruc, fils de Nérija, j'adressai cette prière à l'Éternel :	Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,	Et après que j'eus donné à Baruc fils de Nerija le contrat d'acquisition, je fis requête à l'Eternel, en disant:	Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto Jehovah, saying,
17	Ah ! Seigneur Éternel, Voici, tu as fait les cieux et la terre Par ta grande puissance et par ton bras étendu : Rien n'est étonnant de ta part.	Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:	Ah! ah! Seigneur Eternel, voici, tu as fait le ciel et la terre par ta grande puissance, et par ton bras étendu; aucune chose ne te sera difficile;	Ah Lord Jehovah! behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thine outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for thee,
18	Tu fais miséricorde jusqu'à la millième génération, Et tu punis l'iniquité des pères dans le sein de leurs enfants après eux. Tu es le Dieu grand, le puissant, Dont le nom est l'Éternel des armées.	Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,	Tu fais miséricorde jusqu'en mille générations, et tu rends l'iniquité des pères dans le sein de leurs enfants après eux; tu es le Dieu Fort, le Grand, le Puissant, le Nom duquel est l'Eternel des armées;	who showest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, Jehovah of hosts is his name;
19	Tu es grand en conseil et puissant en action ; Tu as les yeux ouverts sur toutes les voies des enfants des hommes, Pour rendre à chacun selon ses voies, Selon le fruit de ses oeuvres.	Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:	Grand en conseil, et abondant en moyens; car tes yeux sont ouverts sur toutes les voies des enfants des hommes, pour rendre à chacun selon ses voies, et selon le fruit de ses oeuvres.	great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
20	Tu as fait des miracles et des prodiges dans le pays d'Égypte jusqu'à ce jour, Et en Israël et parmi les hommes, Et tu t'es fait un nom comme il l'est aujourd'hui.	Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;	Tu as fait au pays d'Egypte des signes et des miracles qui sont connus jusques à ce jour, et dans Israël, et parmi les hommes, et tu t'es acquis un nom tel qu' il paraît aujourd'hui.	who didst set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, both in Israel and among [other] men; and madest thee a name, as at this day;
21	Tu as fait sortir du pays d'Égypte ton peuple d'Israël, Avec des miracles et des prodiges, à main forte et à bras étendu, Et avec une grande terreur.	And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;	Car tu as retiré Israël ton peuple du pays d'Egypte, avec des signes et des miracles, et avec une main forte, et avec un bras étendu, et en répandant partout la frayeur.	and didst bring forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
22	Tu leur as donné ce pays, Que tu avais juré à leurs pères de leur donner, Pays où coulent le lait et le miel.	And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;	Et tu leur as donné ce pays que tu avais juré à leurs pères de leur donner, qui est un pays découlant de lait et de miel;	and gavest them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
23	Ils sont venus, et ils en ont pris possession. Mais ils n'ont point obéi à ta voix, Ils n'ont point observé ta loi, Ils n'ont pas fait tout ce que tu leur avais ordonné de faire. Et c'est alors que tu as fait fondre sur eux tous ces malheurs !	And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:	Et ils y sont entrés et l'ont possédé; mais ils n'ont point obéi à ta voix, et n'ont point marché en ta Loi, et n'ont pas fait toutes les choses que tu leur avais commandé de faire; c'est pourquoi tu as fait que tout ce mal ici les a rencontrés.	and they came in, and possessed it, but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them.
24	Voici, les terrasses s'élèvent contre la ville et la menacent ; La ville sera livrée entre les mains des Chaldéens qui l'attaquent, Vaincue par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste. Ce que tu as dit est arrivé, et tu le vois.	Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.	Voilà, les terrasses sont élevées, on est venu contre la ville pour la prendre, et à cause de l'épée, de la famine, et de la mortalité, la ville est livrée en la main des Caldéens qui combattent contre elle; et ce que tu as dit est arrivé, et voici, tu le vois.	Behold, the mounds, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.
25	Néanmoins, Seigneur Éternel, tu m'as dit : Achète un champ pour de l'argent, prends des témoins... Et la ville est livrée entre les mains des Chaldéens !	And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.	Et cependant, Seigneur Eternel! tu m'as dit: achète-toi ce champ à prix d'argent, et prends-en des témoins, quoique la ville soit livrée en la main des Caldéens.	And thou hast said unto me, O Lord Jehovah, Buy thee the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26	La parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie, en ces mots :	Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,	Mais la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jérémie, en disant:	Then came the word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying,
27	Voici, je suis l'Éternel, le Dieu de toute chair. Y a-t-il rien qui soit étonnant de ma part ?	Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?	Voici, je suis l'Eternel, le Dieu de toute chair; y aura-t-il quelque chose qui me soit difficile?	Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?
28	C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel : Voici, je livre cette ville entre les mains des Chaldéens, Et entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, Et il la prendra.	Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:	C'est pourquoi ainsi a dit l'Eternel: voici, je m'en vais livrer cette ville entre les mains des Caldéens, et entre les mains de Nébucadnetsar Roi de Babylone, qui la prendra.	Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
29	Les Chaldéens qui attaquent cette ville vont entrer, Ils y mettront le feu, et ils la brûleront, Avec les maisons sur les toits desquelles on a offert de l'encens à Baal Et fait des libations à d'autres dieux, Afin de m'irriter.	And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.	Et les Caldéens qui combattent contre cette ville, y entreront, et mettront le feu à cette ville, et la brûleront, avec les maisons sur les toits desquelles on a fait des parfums à Bahal, et où l'on a fait des aspersions à d'autres dieux pour m'irriter.	and the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink-offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.
30	Car les enfants d'Israël et les enfants de Juda N'ont fait, dès leur jeunesse, que ce qui est mal à mes yeux ; Les enfants d'Israël n'ont fait que m'irriter Par l'oeuvre de leurs mains, dit l'Éternel.	For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.	Car les enfants d'Israël et les enfants de Juda n'ont fait dès leur jeunesse que ce qui déplaît à mes yeux; et les enfants d'Israël ne font que m'irriter par les oeuvres de leurs mains, dit l'Eternel.	For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith Jehovah.
31	Car cette ville excite ma colère et ma fureur, Depuis le jour où l'a bâtie jusqu'à ce jour ; Aussi je veux l'ôter de devant ma face,	For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,	Car cette ville a été portée à provoquer ma colère et ma fureur, depuis le jour qu'ils l'ont bâtie, jusqu’à aujourd'hui, afin que je l'abolisse de devant ma face;	For this city hath been to me a provocation of mine anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
32	A cause de tout le mal que les enfants d'Israël et les enfants de Juda Ont fait pour m'irriter, Eux, leurs rois, leurs chefs, leurs sacrificateurs et leurs prophètes, Les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem.	Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.	A cause de toute la malice des enfants d'Israël, et des enfants de Juda, qu'ils ont commise pour m'irriter, eux, leurs Rois, les principaux d'entre eux, leurs Sacrificateurs, et leurs Prophètes, les hommes de Juda, et les habitants de Jérusalem.	because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
33	Ils m'ont tourné le dos, ils ne m'ont pas regardé ; On les a enseignés, on les a enseignés dès le matin ; Mais ils n'ont pas écouté pour recevoir instruction.	And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.	Ils m'ont abandonné; et quand je les ai enseignés, me levant dès le matin et les enseignant, ils n'ont point été obéissants pour recevoir instruction. 35	Ils ont bâti des hauts lieux à Baal dans la vallée de Ben Hinnom, Pour faire passer à Moloc leurs fils et leurs filles : Ce que je ne leur avais point ordonné ; Et il me n'était point venu à la pensée Qu'ils commettraient de telles horreurs Pour faire pécher Juda.	And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.	Et ils ont bâti les hauts lieux de Bahal, qui sont en la vallée du fils de Hinnom, pour faire passer par le feu leurs fils et leurs filles à Molec; ce que je ne leur avais point commandé, et je n'avais jamais pensé qu'ils fissent cette abomination pour faire pécher Juda.	And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through [the fire] unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
36	Et maintenant, ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, Sur cette ville dont vous dites : Elle sera livrée entre les mains du roi de Babylone, Vaincue par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste :	And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;	Et maintenant, à cause de cela l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, dit ainsi touchant cette ville de laquelle vous dites qu'elle est livrée entre les mains du Roi de Babylone, à cause que l'épée, la famine, et la mortalité sont en elle:	And now therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:
37	Voici, je les rassemblerai de tous les pays où je les ai chassés, Dans ma colère, dans ma fureur, et dans ma grande irritation ; Je les ramènerai dans ce lieu, Et je les y ferai habiter en sûreté.
