| 1 | La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Éternel, lorsque le roi Sédécias lui envoya Paschhur, fils de Malkija, et Sophonie, fils de Maaséja, le sacrificateur, pour lui dire : | The word which came unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying, | La parola che fu rivolta a Geremia dall'Eterno, quando il re Sedekia gli mandò Pashhur figlio di Malkiah e Sofonia, figlio di Maaseiah, il sacerdote per dirgli: |
| 2 | Consulte pour nous l'Éternel ; car Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, nous fait la guerre ; peut-être l'Éternel fera-t-il en notre faveur quelqu'un de ses miracles, afin qu'il s'éloigne de nous. | Inquire, I pray thee, of Jehovah for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us: peradventure Jehovah will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us. | Deh. consulta per noi l'Eterno, perché Nebukadnetsar, re di Babilonia, fa guerra contro di noi. Forse l'Eterno agirà nei nostri confronti secondo tutte le sue meraviglie, ed egli si ritirerà da noi. |

| 4 | Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Voici, je vais détourner les armes de guerre qui sont dans vos mains, et avec lesquelles vous combattez en dehors des murailles le roi de Babylone et les Chaldéens qui vous assiègent, et je les rassemblerai au milieu de cette ville. | Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans that besiege you, without the walls; and I will gather them into the midst of this city. | Così dice l'Eterno, il DIO d'Israele: Ecco, io farò indietreggiare le armi di guerra che sono nelle vostre mani, con le quali combattete contro il re di Babilonia, contro i Caldei che vi assediano fuori le mura e le radunerò in mezzo a questa città. |
| 5 | Puis je combattrai contre vous, la main étendue et le bras fort, avec colère, avec fureur, avec une grande irritation. | And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation. | Io stesso combatterò contro di voi con mano distesa e con braccio potente, con ira, con furore e con grande indignazione. |
| 6 | Je frapperai les habitants de cette ville, les hommes et les bêtes ; ils mourront d'une peste affreuse. | And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. | Percuoterò gli abitanti di questa città tanto uomini che bestie; essi moriranno di una grande peste. |
| 7 | Après cela, dit l'Éternel, je livrerai Sédécias, roi de Juda, ses serviteurs, le peuple, et ceux qui dans cette ville échapperont à la peste, à l'épée et à la famine, je les livrerai entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, entre les mains de leurs ennemis, entre les mains de ceux qui en veulent à leur vie ; et Nebucadnetsar les frappera du tranchant de l'épée, il ne les épargnera pas, il n'aura point de pitié, point de compassion. | And afterward, saith Jehovah, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, even such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. | Dopo questo, dice l'Eterno, darò Sedekia, re di Giuda, e i suoi servi, il popolo e coloro che in questa città saranno scampati dalla peste, dalla spada e dalla fame, in mano di Nebukadnetsar, re di Babilonia, in mano dei loro nemici e in mano di quelli che cercano la loro vita. Egli li passerà a fil di spada: non li risparmierà né avrà pietà, o compassione. |
| 8 | Tu diras à ce peuple : Ainsi parle l'Éternel : Voici, je mets devant vous le chemin de la vie et le chemin de la mort. | And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. | E a questo popolo dirai: Così dice l'Eterno: Ecco, io metto davanti a voi la via della vita e la via della morte. |
| 9 | Celui qui restera dans cette ville mourra par l'épée, par la famine ou par la peste ; mais celui qui sortira pour se rendre aux Chaldéens qui vous assiègent aura la vie sauve, et sa vie sera son butin. | He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he that goeth out, and passeth over to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. | Chi rimane in questa città morirà di spada, di fame e di peste; ma chi uscirà e si consegnerà ai Caldei che vi assediano vivrà, e avrà come suo bottino la propria vita. |
| 10 | Car je dirige mes regards contre cette ville pour faire du mal et non du bien, dit l'Éternel ; elle sera livrée entre les mains du roi de Babylone, qui la brûlera par le feu. | For I have set my face upon this city for evil, and not for good, saith Jehovah: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. | Poiché io ho volto la mia faccia contro questa città per sventura e non per bene, dice l'Eterno. Essa sarà data in mano del re di Babilonia, ed egli la brucerà col fuoco. |
| 11 | Et tu diras à la maison du roi de Juda : Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel ! | And touching the house of the king of Judah, hear ye the word of Jehovah: | Alla casa dei re di Giuda dirai: Ascoltate la parola dell'Eterno: |
| 12 | Maison de David ! Ainsi parle l'Éternel : Rendez la justice dès le matin, Et délivrez l'opprimé des mains de l'oppresseur, De peur que ma colère n'éclate comme un feu, Et ne s'enflamme, sans qu'on puisse l'éteindre, A cause de la méchanceté de vos actions. | O house of David, thus saith Jehovah, Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. | O casa di Davide, così dice l'Eterno: Amministrate la giustizia fin dal mattino e liberate il derubato dalla mano dell'oppressore, affinché la mia ira non si sprigioni come fuoco e arda senza che nessuno la possa spegnere, per la malvagità delle vostre azioni. |
| 13 | Voici, j'en veux à toi, Ville assise dans la vallée, sur le rocher de la plaine, Dit l'Éternel, A vous qui dites : Qui descendra contre nous ? Qui entrera dans nos demeures ? | Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, [and] of the rock of the plain, saith Jehovah; you that say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? | Eccomi contro te, o abitatrice della valle, roccia della pianura dice l'Eterno. Voi che dite: Chi scenderà contro di noi? Chi entrerà nelle nostre dimore? |
| 14 | Je vous châtierai selon le fruit de vos oeuvres, dit l'Éternel ; Je mettrai le feu à votre forêt, Et il en dévorera tous les alentours. | And I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith Jehovah; and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is round about her. | io vi punirò secondo il frutto delle vostre azioni, dice l'Eterno, e accenderò il fuoco alla sua foresta, che divorerà tutto ciò che la circonda. |
