God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,Après avoir, à plusieurs reprises et en diverses manières, parlé autrefois à nos pères par les Prophètes, Dieu, God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;dans ces derniers temps, nous a parlé par le Fils, qu'il a établi héritier de toutes choses, et par lequel il a aussi créé le monde.hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in [his] Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:Ce Fils, qui est le rayonnement de sa gloire, l'empreinte de sa substance, et qui soutient toutes choses par sa puissante parole, après nous avoir purifiés de nos péchés, s'est assis à la droite de la majesté divine au plus haut des cieux, who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.d'autant plus grand que les anges, que le nom qu'il possède est plus excellent que le leur.having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?Auquel des anges en effet Dieu a-t-il jamais dit : "Tu es mon Fils, aujourd'hui je t'ai engendré " ? Et encore "Je serai pour lui un père, et il sera pour moi un Fils " ?For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.Et lorsqu'il introduit de nouveau dans le monde le Premier-né, il dit : "Que tous les anges de Dieu l'adorent ! "And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.De plus, tandis qu'il est dit des anges : "Celui qui fait de ses anges des vents, et de ses serviteurs une flamme de feu, "And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And his ministers a flame a fire:
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.il dit au Fils : "Ton trône, ô Dieu, est éternel; le sceptre de ta royauté est un sceptre de droiture.but of the Son [he saith,] Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.Tu as aimé la justice et haï l'iniquité; c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint d'une huile d'allégresse au-dessus de tous tes compagnons."Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:Et encore : "C'est toi, Seigneur, qui as au commencement fondé la terre, et les cieux sont l'ouvrage de tes mains;And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands:
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;ils périront, mais tu demeures; ils vieilliront tous comme un vêtement;They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.comme un manteau tu les rouleras, et ils seront changés; mais toi, tu restes le même, et tes années ne s'épuiseront point."And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?Et auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit : "Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que je fasse de tes ennemis l'escabeau de tes pieds " ?But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?Ne sont-ils pas tous des esprits au service de Dieu, envoyés comme serviteurs pour le bien de ceux qui doivent recevoir l'héritage du salut ?Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?
