And Esau was a skilful hunter, a man of the field. C'est pour cela qu'on a donné à Ésaü le nom d'Édom. | And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]. For I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom. | Ed Esaù disse a Giacobbe: Per favore, lasciami mangiare un po' di questa zuppa rossa, perché sono stanco. Per questo fu chiamato Edom. |

| 33 | Et Jacob dit : Jure-le moi d'abord. Il le lui jura, et il vendit son droit d'aînesse à Jacob. | And Jacob said, Swear to me first. And he sware unto him. And he sold his birthright unto Jacob. | Allora Giacobbe disse: Prima, giuramelo. Ed Esaù glielo giurò e vendette la sua primogenitura Giacobbe. |
