| 1 | Ainsi parle l'Éternel : Le ciel est mon trône, Et la terre mon marchepied. Quelle maison pourriez-vous me bâtir, Et quel lieu me donneriez-vous pour demeure ? | Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? | Così dice l'Eterno: Il cielo è il mio trono e la terra è lo sgabello dei miei piedi. Dov'è dunque la casa che mi potreste edificare e dov'è il luogo del mio riposo? |
| 2 | Toutes ces choses, ma main les a faites, Et toutes ont reçu l'existence, dit l'Éternel. Voici sur qui je porterai mes regards : Sur celui qui souffre et qui a l'esprit abattu, Sur celui qui craint ma parole. | For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. | Tutte queste cose le ha fatte la mia mano e tutte quante sono venute all'esistenza, dice l'Eterno. | 3 | Celui qui immole un boeuf est comme celui qui tuerait un homme, Celui qui sacrifie un agneau est comme celui qui romprait la nuque à un chien, Celui qui présente une offrande est comme celui qui répandrait du sang de porc, Celui qui brûle de l'encens est comme celui qui adorerait des idoles ; Tous ceux-là se complaisent dans leurs voies, Et leur âme trouve du plaisir dans leurs abominations. | He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. | 8 | Qui a jamais entendu pareille chose ? Qui a jamais vu rien de semblable ? Un pays peut-il naître en un jour ? Une nation est-elle enfantée d'un seul coup ? A peine en travail, Sion a enfanté ses fils ! | Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. | Chi ha mai udito una cosa simile, chi ha mai visto cose come queste? | 10 | Réjouissez-vous avec Jérusalem, Faites d'elle le sujet de votre allégresse, Vous tous qui l'aimez ; Tressaillez avec elle de joie, Vous tous qui menez deuil sur elle ; | Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: | Rallegratevi con Gerusalemme ed esultate con lei, voi tutti che l'amate. Gioite grandemente con lei voi tutti che siete in lutto per lei, |
| 11 | Afin que vous soyez nourris et rassasiés Du lait de ses consolations, Afin que vous savouriez avec bonheur La plénitude de sa gloire. | That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. | affinché siate allattati e saziati al seno delle sue consolazioni, affinché possiate bere copiosamente e deliziarvi con l'abbondanza della sua gloria. |

| 13 | Comme un homme que sa mère console, Ainsi je vous consolerai ; Vous serez consolés dans Jérusalem. | As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. | Come una madre consola il proprio figlio, così io consolerò voi e sarete consolati in Gerusalemme. |
| 14 | Vous le verrez, et votre coeur sera dans la joie, Et vos os reprendront de la vigueur comme l'herbe ; L'Éternel manifestera sa puissance envers ses serviteurs, Mais il fera sentir sa colère à ses ennemis. | And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. | Voi vedrete questo, e il vostro cuore gioirà, le vostre ossa riprenderanno vigore come l'erba fresca. La mano dell'Eterno si farà conoscere ai suoi servi e si adirerà grandemente contro i suoi nemici. |
| 15 | Car voici, l'Éternel arrive dans un feu, Et ses chars sont comme un tourbillon ; Il convertit sa colère en un brasier, Et ses menaces en flammes de feu. | For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. | Poiché ecco, l'Eterno verrà col fuoco, e i suoi carri saranno come un uragano per riversare la sua ira con furore e la sua minaccia con fiamme di fuoco. |
| 16 | C'est par le feu que l'Éternel exerce ses jugements, C'est par son glaive qu'il châtie toute chair ; Et ceux que tuera l'Éternel seront en grand nombre. | For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. | Poiché l'Eterno farà giustizia con il fuoco e con la sua spada contro ogni carne; e gli uccisi dall'Eterno saranno molti. |
| 17 | Ceux qui se sanctifient et se purifient dans les jardins, Au milieu desquels ils vont un à un, Qui mangent de la chair de porc, Des choses abominables et des souris, Tous ceux-là périront, dit l'Éternel. | They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. | Quelli che si santificano e si purificano per andare nei giardini, dietro un idolo che sta nel mezzo, quelli che mangiano carne di porco, cose abominevoli e topi, saranno tutti quanti consumati dice l'Eterno. |
| 18 | Je connais leurs oeuvres et leurs pensées. Le temps est venu de rassembler toutes les nations Et toutes les langues ; Elles viendront et verront ma gloire. | For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. | Io conosco le loro opere e i loro pensieri; sta per giungere il tempo in cui raccoglierò tutte le nazioni e tutte le lingue; esse verranno e vedranno la mia gloria. |
| 19 | Je mettrai un signe parmi elles, Et j'enverrai leurs réchappés vers les nations, A Tarsis, à Pul et à Lud, qui tirent de l'arc, A Tubal et à Javan, Aux îles lointaines, Qui jamais n'ont entendu parler de moi, Et qui n'ont pas vu ma gloire ; Et ils publieront ma gloire parmi les nations. | And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. | Io porrò un segno nel loro mezzo e manderò alcuni dei loro superstiti alle nazioni: a Tarshish, a Pul e a Lud, che tirano l'arco, a Tubal e a Javan, alle isole lontane che non hanno udito la mia fama e non hanno visto la mia gloria; essi proclameranno la mia gloria fra le nazioni, |
| 20 | Ils amèneront tous vos frères du milieu de toutes les nations, En offrande à l'Éternel, Sur des chevaux, des chars et des litières, Sur des mulets et des dromadaires, A ma montagne sainte, A Jérusalem, dit l'Éternel, Comme les enfants d'Israël apportent leur offrande, Dans un vase pur, A la maison de l'Éternel. | And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. | e ricondurranno tutti i vostri fratelli da tutte le nazioni come un'offerta all'Eterno, su cavalli, su carri, su portantine, su muli e su dromedari al mio santo monte di Gerusalemme, dice l'Eterno. come i figli d'Israele, portano un'offerta in un vaso puro nella casa dell'Eterno. |
| 21 | Et je prendrai aussi parmi eux Des sacrificateurs, des Lévites, dit l'Éternel. | And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. | Prenderò pure alcuni di essi per sacerdoti e per Leviti, dice l'Eterno. |
| 22 | Car, comme les nouveaux cieux Et la nouvelle terre que je vais créer Subsisteront devant moi, dit l'Éternel, Ainsi subsisteront votre postérité et votre nom. | For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. | Poiché come i nuovi cieli e la nuova terra che io farò sussisteranno stabili davanti a me, dice l'Eterno, così sussisteranno la vostra progenie e il vostro nome. |
| 23 | A chaque nouvelle lune et à chaque sabbat, Toute chair viendra se prosterner devant moi, dit l'Éternel. | And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. | E avverrà che di novilunio in novilunio e di sabato in sabato ogni carne verrà a prostrarsi davanti a me, dice l'Eterno. |
| 24 | Et quand on sortira, on verra Les cadavres des hommes qui se sont rebellés contre moi ; Car leur ver ne mourra point, et leur feu ne s'éteindra point ; Et ils seront pour toute chair un objet d'horreur. | And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. | Quando essi usciranno, vedranno i cadaveri degli uomini che si sono ribellati contro di me; poiché il loro verme non morirà e il loro fuoco non si estinguerà, e saranno in orrore ad ogni carne. |
