| 5 | Celui-ci dira : "Je suis à Yahweh !"celui-ci se réclamera du nom de Jacob; un autre écrira sur sa main : "A Yahweh !"et il prendra pour surnom le nom d'Israël. | One shall say, I am Jehovah`s; and another shall call [himself] by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto Jehovah, and surname [himself] by the name of Israel. | L'uno dirà: "Io sono dell'Eterno"; l'altro si chiamerà col nome di Giacobbe, e un altro scriverà sulla sua mano: "Dell'Eterno", e si onorerà di portare il nome d'Israele. |

Il n'y a pas d'autre Rocher ; je n'en connais point. | Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have I not declared unto thee of old, and showed it? and ye are my witnesses. Ils trembleront et seront confondus tous ensemble, | Behold, all his fellows shall be put to shame; and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; they shall fear, they shall be put to shame together. | Ecco tutti i compagni di tale persona saranno confusi; gli artigiani stessi non sono che uomini. Si radunino tutti, si presentino. Saranno spaventati e svergognati insieme. |

Cependant, il a faim, et le voilà sans force ; Il ne boit pas d'eau, et le voilà épuisé ! | The smith [maketh] an axe, and worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he drinketh no water, and is faint. | Il fabbro con le tenaglie lavora il ferro sulle braci, gli dà la forma col martello e lo rifinisce col suo braccio vigoroso soffre la fame e la sua forza viene meno non beve acqua e si stanca. |
| 13 | L'ouvrier en bois tend le cordeau, il trace la forme au crayon, la façonne avec le ciseau, la mesure au compas ; il en fait une figure d'homme; la belle figure humaine, pour qu'elle loge dans une maison. | The carpenter stretcheth out a line; he marketh it out with a pencil; he shapeth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compasses, and shapeth it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house. | Il falegname stende il regolo, disegna l'idolo con la matita, lo lavora con lo scalpello, lo misura col compasso e ne fa una figura umana, una bella forma di uomo, perché rimanga in una casa. |

| 15 | Ce bois sert à l'homme pour briller; il en prend pour se chauffer; il en allume aussi pour cuire son pain; il en fait aussi un dieu et il l'adore ; Il en fabrique une idole, et il se prosterne devant elle ! | Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread: yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto. | Questo serve all'uomo per bruciare; egli ne prende una parte per riscaldarsi e accende il fuoco per cuocere il pane; ne fa pure un dio e l'adora, ne fa un'immagine scolpita, davanti alla quale si prostra. |

| 19 | Et il ne rentre pas en soi-même ; il n'a pas l'intelligence et le bon sens de se dire : "J'en ai brûlé la moitié au feu ; j'ai aussi cuit du pain sur les braises; j'ai rôti de la viande et je l'ai mangée; et avec le reste je ferais une abomination, je me prosternerais devant un tronc d'arbre !" | And none calleth to mind, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? | Nessuno rientra in se stesso né ha conoscenza e intendimento per dire: Ne ho bruciato una parte nel fuoco, sì, sulle sue braci ho fatto cuocere il pane, ho arrostito la carne e l'ho mangiata. | 20 | Il se repaît de cendres; son coeur abusé l'égare. Il ne sauvera pas son âme et ne dira pas : "Ce qui est dans ma main n'est-il pas mensonge ?" | He feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart hath turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand? | Un tale si pasce di cenere, il suo cuore sedotto lo travia. Éclatez de joie, montagnes, forêts, avec tous vos arbres ; car Yahweh a racheté Jacob, et manifesté sa gloire en Israël ! | Sing, O ye heavens, for Jehovah hath done it; shout, ye lower parts of the earth; break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for Jehovah hath redeemed Jacob, and will glorify himself in Israel. | Esultate o cieli, perché l'Eterno ha operato. | 25 | Je déjoue les présages des prophètes de mensonge, et fais délirer les devins; je fais reculer les sages; et change leur science en folie. | that frustrateth the signs of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; | Io rendo vani i presagi dei bugiardi e rendo insensati gli indovini; io faccio indietreggiare i savi e rendo folle la loro conoscenza. |
