| 5 | Je te dis que ce ne sont là que des paroles; mais le conseil et la force sont requis à la guerre: or maintenant sur qui t'es-tu confié, que tu te sois rebellé contre moi? | I say, [thy] counsel and strength for the war are but vain words: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou hast rebelled against me? | Io dico che consiglio e forza per fare la guerra non sono soltanto parole delle labbra, ora in chi poni la tua fiducia per esserti ribellato, a me? |
| 6 | Voici, tu t'es confié sur ce bâton qui n'est qu'un roseau cassé, sur l'Egypte, sur lequel si quelqu'un s'appuie, il lui entrera dans la main, et la percera; tel est Pharaon Roi d'Egypte à tous ceux qui se confient en lui. | Behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust on him. | Ecco, tu confidi sul sostegno di questa canna rotta, che è l'Egitto, che penetra nella mano di chi vi si appoggia e la fora. | 7 | Que si tu me dis: nous nous confions en l'Eternel, notre Dieu; n'est-ce pas celui-là même duquel Ezéchias a ôté les hauts lieux et les autels, et a dit à Juda et à Jérusalem; vous vous prosternerez devant cet autel-ci? | But if thou say unto me, We trust in Jehovah our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar? | Se poi mi dici: "Noi confidiamo nell'Eterno, il nostro DIO" non è forse quello stesso di cui Ezechia ha rimosso gli alti luoghi e gli altari, dicendo a Giuda e a Gerusalemme: "Voi adorerete soltanto davanti a questo altare"? |
| 8 | Maintenant donc donne des otages au Roi des Assyriens mon maître; et je te donnerai deux mille chevaux, si tu peux donner autant d'hommes pour monter dessus. | Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. | Ora dunque fa' una scommessa con il mio signore, il re di Assiria; io ti darò duemila cavalli, se tu sei in grado di procurare i cavalieri che li montino. |
| 9 | Et comment ferais-tu tourner visage au moindre gouverneur d'entre les serviteurs de mon maître? mais tu te confies en l'Egypte, à cause des chariots, et des gens de cheval. | How then canst thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master`s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? | Come potresti far retrocedere un solo capitano fra i più piccoli servi del mio signore? Ma tu confidi nell'Egitto per avere carri e cavalieri. |
| 10 | Et qu'Ezéchias ne vous fasse point confier en l'Eternel, en disant: l'Eternel indubitablement nous délivrera; cette ville ne sera point livrée entre les mains du Roi des Assyriens. | And am I now come up without Jehovah against this land to destroy it? Jehovah said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it. | E ora sono forse salito senza il volere dell'Eterno contro questo paese per di struggerlo? L'Eterno mi ha detto: "Sali contro questo paese e distruggilo". |
| 11 | Alors Eliakim, et Sebna, et Joab dirent à Rabsaké; nous te prions de parler en langue syriaque à tes serviteurs, car nous l'entendons; mais ne parle point à nous en langue Judaïque, pendant que le peuple, qui est sur la muraille, l'écoute. | Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews` language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall. | Allora Eliakim, Scebna e Joah dissero a Rabshakeh: Deh, parla ai tuoi servi in aramaico, perché noi lo comprendiamo, ma non parlarci in ebraico, in modo che oda il popolo che è sulle mura. |
| 12 | Et Rabsaké répondit: mon maître m'a-t-il envoyé vers ton maître, ou vers toi, pour dire ces paroles-là? ne m'a-t-il pas envoyé vers les hommes qui se tiennent sur la muraille, pour leur dire qu'ils mangeront leur propre fiente, et qu'ils boiront leur urine avec vous? | But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? [hath he] not [sent me] to the men that sit upon the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own water with you? | Ma Rabshakeh rispose: Il mio signore mi ha forse mandato a dire queste parole al tuo signore e a te, e non piuttosto agli uomini che stanno sulle mura, ridotti a mangiare i loro escrementi e a bere la loro urina con voi?. |
| 13 | Rabsaké donc se dressa, et s'écria à haute voix en langue Judaïque, et dit: écoutez les paroles du grand Roi, le Roi des Assyriens. | Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews` language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. | Rabshakeh allora si alzò in piedi e gridò a gran voce in ebraico, dicendo: Ascoltate le parole del gran re, il re di Assiria! |
| 14 | Le Roi a dit ainsi; qu'Ezéchias ne vous abuse point; car il ne vous pourra pas délivrer. | Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you; for he will not be able to deliver you: | Così dice il re: Non v'inganni Ezechia, perché egli non potrà liberarvi dalle mie mani; |
| 15 | Et qu'Ezéchias ne vous fasse point confier en l'Eternel, en disant: l'Eternel indubitablement nous délivrera; cette ville ne sera point livrée entre les mains du Roi des Assyriens. | neither let Hezekiah make you trust in Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. | né vi faccia Ezechia riporre la vostra fiducia nell'Eterno, dicendo: Certamente l'Eterno ci libererà; questa città non sarà data nelle mani del re di Assiria |
| 16 | N'écoutez point Ezéchias; car ainsi a dit le Roi des Assyriens; faites un accord pour votre bien avec moi, et sortez vers moi, et vous mangerez chacun de sa vigne, et chacun de son figuier, et vous boirez chacun de l'eau de sa citerne; | Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig-tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern; | Non date ascolto ad Ezechia, perché così dice il re di Assiria: Fate pace con me e arrendetevi, e ciascuno di voi potrà mangiare i frutti della sua vite e del suo fico, e ognuno potrà bere l'acqua della sua cisterna, |
| 17 | Jusqu'à ce que je vienne, et que je vous emmène en un pays qui est comme votre pays, un pays de froment et de bon vin, un pays de pain et de vignes. | until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards. | finché io non venga per condurvi in un paese simile al vostro, un paese di grano e di mosto, un paese di pane e di vigne. |
| 18 | Qu'Ezéchias donc ne vous séduise point, en disant: L'Eternel nous délivrera. Les dieux des nations ont-ils délivré chacun leur pays de la main du Roi des Assyriens? | Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, Jehovah will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? | Ezechia non vi inganni, dicendo: "L'Eterno ci libererà" Ha qualcuno degli dèi delle nazioni potuto liberare il suo paese dalle mani del re di Assiria? |
| 19 | Où sont les dieux de Hamath et d'Arpad? où sont les dieux de Sépharvajim? et même a-t-on délivré Samarie de ma main? | Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? | Dove sono gli dèi di Hamath e di Arpad? Dove sono gli dèi di Sefarvaim? Hanno forse essi liberato Samaria, dalle mie mani? |
| 20 | Qui sont ceux d'entre tous les dieux de ces pays-là qui aient délivré leur pays de ma main, pour dire que l'Eternel délivrera Jérusalem de ma main? | Who are they among all the gods of these countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that Jehovah should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? | Chi fra tutti gli dèi di questi paesi ha liberato il proprio paese dalle mie mani perché l'Eterno possa liberare Gerusalemme dalle mie mani?. |
| 21 | Mais ils se turent, et ne lui répondirent pas un mot; car le Roi avait commandé, disant: vous ne lui répondrez point. | But they held their peace, and answered him not a word; for the king`s commandment was, saying, Answer him not. | Ma essi tacquero e non risposero neppure una parola, perché l'ordine del re era: Non rispondetegli. |
| 22 | Après cela Eliakim fils de Hilkija, Maître d'hôtel et Sebna le Secrétaire, et Joab fils d'Asaph, commis sur les registres, s'en revinrent, les vêtements déchirés, vers Ezéchias, et lui rapportèrent les paroles de Rabsaké. | Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh. | Allora Eliakim, figlio di Hilkiah, prefetto del palazzo, Scebna il segretario, e Joah figlio di Asaf, l'archivista, vennero da Ezechia con le vesti stracciate e gli riferirono le parole di Rabshakeh. |
