| 19 | Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city. | La sapienza rende il saggio più forte di dieci potenti in una città. |
| 20 | For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. | Non c'è infatti alcun uomo giusto sulla terra, che faccia il bene e non pecchi. |
| 21 | Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: | Inoltre non fare attenzione a tutte le parole che si dicono, per non sentirti maledire dal tuo servo |
| 22 | For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others. | perché anche il tuo cuore sa che tu stesso hai molte volte maledetto altri. |
| 23 | All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me. | Io ho esaminato tutto questo con sapienza. Ho detto: Diventerò saggio; ma la sapienza è ben lontana da me. |
| 24 | That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out? | Una cosa che è tanto lontana e tanto profonda, chi la può trovare? |
| 25 | I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: | Allora ho applicato il mio cuore per conoscere, per investigare e per ricercare la sapienza e la ragione delle cose e per conoscere la malvagità della follia e la stoltezza della pazzia; |
