| 2 | Et je vis dans la vision; et il arriva, quand je vis, que j'étais à Suse, le palais, qui est dans la province d'Élam. Et je vis dans la vision, et j'étais près du fleuve Ulaï. | And I saw in the vision; now it was so, that when I saw, I was in Shushan the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai. | Or vidi in visione e, mentre guardavo, mi avvenne di trovarmi nella cittadella di Susa, che è nella provincia di Elam, nella visione mi resi conto di essere presso il fiume Ulai. |
| 3 | Et je levai les yeux, et je vis; et voici, un bélier se tenait devant le fleuve, et il avait deux cornes; et les deux cornes étaient hautes, et l'une était plus haute que l'autre, et la plus haute s'éleva la dernière. | Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. | Alzai gli occhi e guardai, ed ecco, in piedi davanti al fiume un montone che aveva due corna; le due corna erano alte ma un corno era più alto dell'altro, anche se il più alto era spuntato per ultimo. |
| 4 | Je vis le bélier heurtant vers l'occident, et vers le nord, et vers le midi; et aucune bête ne pouvait tenir devant lui, et il n'y avait personne qui pût délivrer de sa main; et il fit selon son gré, et devint grand. | I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no beasts could stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself. | Vidi il montone che cozzava a ovest a nord e a sud; nessuna bestia gli poteva resistere, né alcuno poteva liberare dal suo potere; così fece quel che volle e diventò grande. |
| 5 | Et je considérais, et voici, un bouc venant du couchant sur la face de toute la terre, et qui ne touchait pas la terre; et le bouc avait une corne de grande apparence entre ses yeux. | And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. | Mentre consideravo questo ecco venire dall'ovest un capro, che percorreva tutta la superficie della terra senza toccare il suolo, il capro aveva un corno cospicuo fra i suoi occhi. |
| 6 | Et il vint jusqu'au bélier qui avait les deux cornes, que j'avais vu se tenir devant le fleuve, et courut sur lui dans la fureur de sa force. | And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran upon him in the fury of his power. | Giunse fino al montone dalle due corna, che avevo visto in piedi davanti al fiume, e gli si avventò contro nel furore della sua forza. |
| 7 | Et je le vis arriver tout près du bélier, et il s'exaspéra contre lui et frappa le bélier, et brisa ses deux cornes, et le bélier fut sans force pour tenir devant lui: il le jeta par terre et le foula aux pieds, et il n'y eut personne qui pût délivrer le bélier de sa main. | And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him; and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. | Lo vidi avvicinarsi e montare in collera contro di lui, cozzò quindi contro il montone e frantumò le sue due corna, senza che il montone avesse forza per resistergli; così lo gettò a terra e lo calpestò, e nessuno potè liberare il montone dal suo potere. |
| 8 | Et le bouc devint très-grand; et lorsqu'il fut devenu fort, la grande corne fut brisée, et quatre cornes de grande apparence s'élevèrent à sa place, vers les quatre vents des cieux. | And the he-goat magnified himself exceedingly: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable [horns] toward the four winds of heaven. | Il capro diventò molto grande; ma, quando fu potente, il suo gran corno si spezzò, al suo posto spuntarono quattro corna cospicue, verso i quattro venti del cielo. |
| 9 | Et de l'une d'elles sortit une petite corne, et elle grandit extrêmement vers le midi, et vers le levant, et vers le pays de beauté. | And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious [land]. | Da uno di questi uscì un piccolo corno, che diventò molto grande verso sud, verso est e verso il paese glorioso. |
| 10 | Et elle grandit jusqu'à l'armée des cieux, et fit tomber à terre une partie de l'armée et des étoiles, et les foula aux pieds. | And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and some of the host and of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled upon them. | Si ingrandì fino a giungere all'esercito del cielo, fece cadere in terra parte dell'esercito e delle stelle e le calpestò. |
| 11 | Et elle s'éleva jusqu'au chef de l'armée; et le sacrifice continuel fut ôté à celui-ci, et le lieu de son sanctuaire fut renversé. | Yea, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the host; and it took away from him the continual [burnt-offering], and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. | Si innalzò addirittura fino al capo dell'esercito, gli tolse il sacrificio continuo e il luogo del suo santuario fu abbattuto. |
| 12 | (Et un temps de détresse fut assigné au sacrifice continuel, pour cause de transgression.) Et elle jeta la vérité par terre, et agit, et prospéra. | And the host was given over [to it] together with the continual [burnt-offering] through transgression; and it cast down truth to the ground, and it did [its pleasure] and prospered. | L'esercito gli fu dato in mano assieme al sacrificio continuo, a motivo della trasgressione; egli gettò a terra la verità; fece tutto questo e prosperò. |
| 13 | Et j'entendis un saint qui parlait; et un autre saint dit au personnage qui parlait: Jusqu'où va la vision du sacrifice continuel et de la transgression qui désole, pour livrer le lieu saint et l'armée pour être foulés aux pieds? | Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said unto that certain one who spake, How long shall be the vision [concerning] the continual [burnt-offering], and the transgression that maketh desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? | Poi udii un santo che parlava, e un altro santo disse a quello che parlava: Fino a quando durerà la visione del sacrificio continuo e la trasgressione della desolazione, che abbandona il luogo santo e l'esercito ad essere calpestati?. |
| 14 | Et il me dit: Jusqu'à deux mille trois cents soirs et matins; alors le lieu saint sera purifié. | And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings [and] mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. | Egli mi disse: Fino a duemilatrecento giorni; poi il santuario sarà purificato. |
| 15 | Et il arriva que, lorsque moi, Daniel, j'eus vu la vision, j'en cherchai l'intelligence; et voici, comme l'apparence d'un homme se tint vis-à-vis de moi; | And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, that I sought to understand it; and, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. | Ora, mentre io, Daniele, consideravo la visione e cercavo d'intenderla ecco stare davanti a me uno dall'aspetto di uomo. |
| 16 | et j'entendis la voix d'un homme au milieu de l'Ulaï; et il cria et dit: Gabriel, fais comprendre à celui-ci la vision. | And I heard a man`s voice between [the banks of] the Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. | Udii quindi in mezzo al fiume Ulai la voce di un uomo, che gridava e diceva: Gabriele, spiega a costui la visione. |
| 17 | Et il vint près du lieu où j'étais, et quand il vint, je fus effrayé et je tombai sur ma face; et il me dit: Comprends, fils d'homme, car la vision est pour le temps de la fin. | So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was affrighted, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man; for the vision belongeth to the time of the end. | Egli si avvicinò al luogo dove mi trovavo e, quando giunse, io ebbi paura e caddi sulla mia faccia. Ma egli mi disse: Intendi bene, o figlio d'uomo, perché questa visione riguarda il tempo della fine. |
| 18 | Or, comme il parlait avec moi, j'étais dans une profonde stupeur, ma face contre la terre; et il me toucha et me fit tenir debout à la place où j'étais. | Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground; but he touched me, and set me upright. | Mentre egli parlava con me, caddi in un profondo sonno con la faccia terra, ma egli mi toccò e mi fece alzare in piedi nel luogo dove mi trovavo. |
| 19 | Et il dit: Voici, je te fais connaître ce qui aura lieu à la fin de l'indignation; car à un temps déterminé sera la fin. | And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongeth to the appointed time of the end. | E disse: Ecco, io ti faccio conoscere ciò che avverrà nell'ultimo tempo dell'indignazione, perché riguarda il tempo fissato della fine. |
| 20 | Le bélier que tu as vu, qui avait deux cornes, ce sont les rois de Médie et de Perse. | The ram which thou sawest, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia. | Il montone con due corna, che tu hai visto, rappresenta i re di Media e di Persia. |
| 21 | Et le bouc velu, c'est le roi de Javan; et la grande corne qui était entre ses yeux, c'est le premier roi; | And the rough he-goat is the king of Greece: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. | Il capro peloso è il re di Javan; e il gran corno che era in mezzo ai suoi occhi è il primo re. |
| 22 | et qu'elle ait été brisée et que quatre autres cornes se soient élevées à sa place, c'est que quatre royaumes s'élèveront de la nation, mais non avec sa puissance. | And as for that which was broken, in the place whereof four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power. | Il corno spezzato e le quattro corna che sono sorte al suo posto sono quattro regni che sorgeranno da questa nazione, ma non con la stessa sua potenza. |
| 23 | Et au dernier temps de leur royaume, quand les transgresseurs auront comblé la mesure, il s'élèvera un roi au visage audacieux, et entendant les énigmes; | And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. | Alla fine del loro regno, quando i ribelli avranno colmato la misura, sorgerà un re dall'aspetto feroce ed esperto in stratagemmi. |
| 24 | et sa puissance sera forte, mais non par sa propre puissance; et il détruira merveilleusement, et il prospérera et agira; et il détruira les hommes forts et le peuple des saints; | And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper and do [his pleasure]; and he shall destroy the mighty ones and the holy people. | La sua potenza crescerà, ma non per sua propria forza; compirà sorprendenti rovine, prospererà nelle sue imprese e distruggerà i potenti e il popolo dei santi. |
| 25 | et, par son intelligence, il fera prospérer la fraude dans sa main; et il s'élèvera dans son coeur; et, par la prospérité il corrompra beaucoup de gens; et il se lèvera contre le prince des princes, mais il sera brisé sans main. | And through his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and in [their] security shall he destroy many: he shall also stand up against the prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. | Per la sua astuzia farà prosperare la frode nelle sue mani; si innalzerà nel suo cuore e distruggerà molti che stanno al sicuro; insorgerà contro il principe dei principi, ma sarà infranto senza mano d'uomo. |
| 26 | Et la vision du soir et du matin, qui a été dite, est vérité. Et toi, serre la vision, car elle est pour beaucoup de jours. | And the vision of the evenings and mornings which hath been told is true: but shut thou up the vision; for it belongeth to many days [to come]. | La visione delle sere e delle mattine di cui è stato parlato, è vera. Tu tieni segreta la visione, perché riguarda cose che avverranno fra molto tempo. |
| 27 | Et moi, Daniel, je défaillis, et je fus malade quelques jours; puis je me levai, et je m'occupai des affaires du roi. Et je fus stupéfié de la vision, mais personne ne la comprit. | And I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick certain days; then I rose up, and did the king`s business: and I wondered at the vision, but none understood it. | E io, Daniele, mi sentii sfinito e fui malato per vari giorni, poi mi alzai e sbrigai gli affari del re. Io ero stupito della visione, ma nessuno se ne avvide. |
