| 14 | Nebucadnetsar prit la parole et leur dit : Est-ce de propos délibéré, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, que vous ne servez pas mes dieux, et que vous n'adorez pas la statue d'or que j'ai élevée ? | Nebuchadnezzar answered and said unto them, Is it of purpose, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, that ye serve not my god, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? | Nebukadnetsar rivolse loro la parola, dicendo: Shadrak, Meshak e Abednego, è vero che non servite i miei dèi e non adorate l'immagine d'oro che io ho fatto erigere? |
| 15 | Maintenant tenez-vous prêts, et au moment où vous entendrez le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments, vous vous prosternerez et vous adorerez la statue que j'ai faite ; si vous ne l'adorez pas, vous serez jetés à l'instant même au milieu d'une fournaise ardente. Et quel est le dieu qui vous délivrera de ma main ? | Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made, [well]: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands? | Ora, non appena udrete il suono del corno, del flauto, della cetra della lira del salterio, della zampogna e di ogni genere di strumenti, se siete pronti a prostrarvi per adorare l'immagine che io ho fatto, bene; ma se non l'adorate, sarete subito gettati in mezzo a una fornace di fuoco ardente; e qual è quel dio che potrà liberarvi dalle mie mani?. |
| 16 | Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego répliquèrent au roi Nebucadnetsar : Nous n'avons pas besoin de te répondre là-dessus. | Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer thee in this matter. | Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego risposero al re, dicendo: O Nebukadnetsar, noi non abbiamo bisogno di darti risposta in merito a questo. |
| 17 | Voici, notre Dieu que nous servons peut nous délivrer de la fournaise ardente, et il nous délivrera de ta main, ô roi. | If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of thy hand, O king. | Ecco, il nostro Dio, che serviamo, è in grado di liberarci dalla fornace di fuoco ardente e ci libererà dalla tua mano, o re. |

| 19 | Sur quoi Nebucadnetsar fut rempli de fureur, et il changea de visage en tournant ses regards contre Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego. Il reprit la parole et ordonna de chauffer la fournaise sept fois plus qu'il ne convenait de la chauffer. | Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: [therefore] he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated. | Allora Nebukadnetsar fu ripieno di furore e l'espressione del suo volto mutò nei riguardi di Shadrak, Meshak e Abednego. | 20 | Puis il commanda à quelques-uns des plus vigoureux soldats de son armée de lier Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, et de les jeter dans la fournaise ardente. | And he commanded certain mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, [and] to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. | Comandò quindi ad alcuni uomini forti e valorosi del suo esercito di legare Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego e di gettarli nella fornace di fuoco ardente. |
| 21 | Ces hommes furent liés avec leurs caleçons, leurs tuniques, leurs manteaux et leurs autres vêtements, et jetés au milieu de la fournaise ardente. | Then these men were bound in their hosen, their tunics, and their mantles, and their [other] garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. | Allora questi tre uomini furono legati con i loro calzoni, le loro tuniche, i loro copricapo e tutte le loro vesti e furono gettati in mezzo alla fornace di fuoco ardente. |
| 22 | Comme l'ordre du roi était sévère, et que la fournaise était extraordinairement chauffée, la flamme tua les hommes qui y avaient jeté Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego. | Therefore because the king`s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. | Ma poiché l'ordine del re era duro e la fornace era estremamente surriscaldata, la fiamma del fuoco uccise gli uomini che vi avevano gettato Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego. |
| 23 | Et ces trois hommes, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, tombèrent liés au milieu de la fournaise ardente. | And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. | E questi tre uomini, Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego, caddero legati in mezzo alla fornace di fuoco ardente. |
| 24 | Alors le roi Nebucadnetsar fut effrayé, et se leva précipitamment. Il prit la parole, et dit à ses conseillers : N'avons-nous pas jeté au milieu du feu trois hommes liés ? Ils répondirent au roi : Certainement, ô roi ! | Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste: he spake and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. | Allora il re Nebukadnetsar, sbalordito, si alzò in fretta e prese a dire ai suoi consiglieri: Non abbiamo gettato tre uomini legati in mezzo al fuoco?. Essi risposero e dissero al re: Certo, o re. |
| 25 | Il reprit et dit : Eh bien, je vois quatre hommes sans liens, qui marchent au milieu du feu, et qui n'ont point de mal ; et la figure du quatrième ressemble à celle d'un fils des dieux. | He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods. | Egli riprese a dire: Ecco, io vedo quattro uomini slegati, che camminano in mezzo al fuoco, senza subire alcun danno; e l'aspetto del quarto è simile a quello di un figlio di Dio. |
| 26 | Ensuite Nebucadnetsar s'approcha de l'entrée de la fournaise ardente, et prenant la parole, il dit : Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, serviteurs du Dieu suprême, sortez et venez ! Et Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego sortirent du milieu du feu. | Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace: he spake and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the Most High God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego came forth out of the midst of the fire. | Poi Nebukadnetsar si avvicinò all'apertura della fornace di fuoco ardente e prese a dire: Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego, servi del Dio Altissimo, uscite e venite qui. | 27 | Les satrapes, les intendants, les gouverneurs, et les conseillers du roi s'assemblèrent ; ils virent que le feu n'avait eu aucun pouvoir sur le corps de ces hommes, que les cheveux de leur tête n'avaient pas été brûlés, que leurs caleçons n'étaient point endommagés, et que l'odeur du feu ne les avait pas atteints. | And the satraps, the deputies, and the governors, and the king`s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed, neither were their hosen changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them. | Quindi i satrapi, i prefetti, i governatori e i consiglieri del re si radunarono per osservare quegli uomini: il fuoco non aveva avuto alcun potere sul loro corpo, i capelli del loro capo non erano stati bruciati, i loro mantelli non erano stati alterati e neppure l'odore di fuoco si era posato su di loro. |
| 28 | Nebucadnetsar prit la parole et dit : Béni soit le Dieu de Schadrac, de Méschac et d'Abed Nego, lequel a envoyé son ange et délivré ses serviteurs qui ont eu confiance en lui, et qui ont violé l'ordre du roi et livré leur corps plutôt que de servir et d'adorer aucun autre dieu que leur Dieu ! | Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king`s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. | Nebukadnetsar prese a dire: Benedetto sia il Dio di Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego, che ha mandato il suo angelo e ha liberato i suoi servi, che hanno confidato in lui; hanno trasgredito l'ordine del re e hanno esposto i loro corpi alla morte, piuttosto che servire e adorare altro dio all'infuori del loro. |
| 29 | Voici maintenant l'ordre que je donne : tout homme, à quelque peuple, nation ou langue qu'il appartienne, qui parlera mal du Dieu de Schadrac, de Méschac et d'Abed Nego, sera mis en pièces, et sa maison sera réduite en un tas d'immondices, parce qu'il n'y a aucun autre dieu qui puisse délivrer comme lui. | Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other god that is able to deliver after this sort. | Perciò io decreto che chiunque, a qualsiasi popolo, nazione o lingua appartenga, dirà male del Dio di Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego, sia tagliato a pezzi e la sua casa sia ridotta in un letamaio, perché non c'è nessun altro dio che possa salvare a questo modo. |
