1Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.Maîtres, rendez le droit et l'équité à vos serviteurs, sachant que vous avez aussi un Seigneur dans les Cieux.Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;Persévérez dans la prière, veillant dans cet exercice avec des actions de grâces:Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;
3Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:Priez aussi tous ensemble pour nous, afin que Dieu nous ouvre la porte de la parole, pour annoncer le mystère de Christ, pour lequel aussi je suis prisonnier.withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;
4That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.Afin que je le manifeste selon qu'il faut que j'en parle.that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
5Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.Conduisez-vous sagement envers ceux de dehors, rachetant le temps.Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.Que votre parole soit toujours assaisonnée de sel avec grâce, afin que vous sachiez comment vous avez à répondre à chacun.Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.
7All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:Tychique, notre frère bien-aimé, et fidèle Ministre, et compagnon de service en notreSeigneur, vous fera savoir tout mon état.All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:
8Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;Je l'ai envoyé vers vous expressément, afin qu'il connaisse quel est votre état, et qu'il console vos coeurs;whom I have sent you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts;
9With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.Avec Onésime notre fidèle et bien-aimé frère, qui est des vôtres, ils vous avertiront de toutes les affaires de deçà.together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that [are done] here.
10Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)Aristarque, qui est prisonnier avec moi, vous salue aussi, et Marc qui est le cousin de Barnabas, touchant lequel vous avez reçu un ordre: s'il vient à vous, recevez-le,Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),
11And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.Et Jésus, appelé Juste, qui sont de la Circoncision; ceux-ci qui sont mes compagnons d'oeuvre au Royaume de Dieu, sont aussi les seuls qui m'ont été en consolation.and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only [are my] fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.
12Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.Epaphras, qui est des vôtres, Serviteur de Christ, vous salue, combattant toujours pour vous par ses prières, afin que vous demeuriez parfaits et accomplis en toute la volonté de Dieu.Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
13For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.Car je lui rends témoignage qu'il a un grand zèle pour vous, et pour ceux de Laodicée, et pour ceux d'Hiérapolis.For I bear him witness, that he hath much labor for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis.
14Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.Luc, le médecin bien-aimé, vous salue; et Démas aussi.Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.
15Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.Saluez les frères qui sont à Laodicée, et Nymphas, avec l'Eglise qui est en sa maison.Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.
16And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.Et quand cette Lettre aura été lue entre vous, faites qu'elle soit aussi lue dans l'Eglise des Laodiciens; et vous aussi lisez celle qui est venue de Laodicée.And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.
17And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.Et dites à Archippe: prends garde à l'administration que tu as reçue en notre Seigneur, afin que tu l'accomplisses.And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
