| 5 | car lors même que je suis absent de corps, toutefois je suis avec vous en esprit, me réjouissant et voyant votre ordre, et la fermeté de votre foi en Christ. | For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. | perché, quantunque sia assente da voi col corpo, pure sono con voi con lo spirito e mi rallegro vedendo il vostro ordine e la fermezza della vostra fede in Cristo. |

| 7 | marchez en lui, enracinés et édifiés en lui, et affermis dans la foi, selon que vous avez été enseignés, abondant en elle avec des actions de grâces. | Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. | essendo radicati ed edificati in lui, e confermati nella fede come vi è stato insegnato, abbondando in essa con ringraziamento. |
| 8 | Prenez garde que personne ne fasse de vous sa proie par la philosophie et par de vaines déceptions, selon l'enseignement des hommes, selon les éléments du monde, et non selon Christ; | Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. | Guardate che nessuno vi faccia sua preda con la filosofia e con vano inganno, secondo la tradizione degli uomini, secondo gli elementi del mondo e non secondo Cristo, |

| 11 | qui aussi vous avez été circoncis d'une circoncision qui n'a pas été faite de main, dans le dépouillement du corps de la chair par la circoncision du Christ, | In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: | nel quale siete anche stati circoncisi di una circoncisione, fatta senza mano d'uomo, ma della circoncisione di Cristo, mediante lo spogliamento del corpo dei peccati della carne: |
| 12 | étant ensevelis avec lui dans le baptême, dans lequel aussi vous avez été ressuscités ensemble par la foi en l'opération de Dieu qui l'a ressuscité d'entre les morts. | Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. | essendo stati sepolti con lui nel battesimo, in lui siete anche stati insieme risuscitati, mediante la fede nella potenza di Dio che lo ha risuscitato dai morti. |
| 13 | Et vous, lorsque vous étiez morts dans vos fautes et dans l'incirconcision de votre chair, il vous a vivifiés ensemble avec lui, nous ayant pardonnés toutes nos fautes, | And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; | E con lui Dio ha vivificato voi, che eravate morti nei peccati e nell'incirconcisione della carne, perdonandovi tutti i peccati. |
| 14 | ayant effacé l'obligation qui était contre nous, laquelle consistait en ordonnances et qui nous était contraire, et il l'a ôtée en la clouant à la croix: | Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; | Egli ha annientato il documento fatto di ordinamenti, che era contro di noi e che ci era nemico, e l'ha tolto di mezzo inchiodandolo alla croce; |
| 15 | ayant dépouillé les principautés et les autorités, il les a produites en public, triomphant d'elles en la croix. | And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. | avendo quindi spogliato le potestà e i principati, ne ha fatto un pubblico spettacolo, trionfando su di loro in lui. |
| 16 | Que personne donc ne vous juge en ce qui concerne le manger ou le boire, ou à propos d'un jour de fête ou de nouvelle lune, ou de sabbats, | Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: | Nessuno dunque vi giudichi per cibi o bevande, o rispetto a feste, a noviluni o ai sabati; |
| 17 | qui sont une ombre des choses à venir; mais le corps est du Christ. | Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. | queste cose sono ombra di quelle che devono venire; ma il corpo è di Cristo. |
| 18 | Que personne ne vous frustre du prix du combat, faisant sa volonté propre dans l' humilité et dans le culte des anges, s'ingérant dans les choses qu'il n'a pas vues, enflé d'un vain orgueil par les pensées de sa chair, | Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, | Nessuno vi derubi del premio con un pretesto di umiltà e di culto degli angeli, fondandosi su cose che non ha visto, essendo temerariamente gonfio a motivo della sua mente carnale |
| 19 | et ne tenant pas ferme le chef, duquel tout le corps, alimenté et bien uni ensemble par des jointures et des liens, croît de l'accroissement de Dieu. | And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. | e non attenendosi al capo, da cui tutto il corpo, ben nutrito e tenuto insieme mediante le giunture e le articolazioni cresce con l'accrescimento che viene da Dio. |
| 20 | Si vous êtes morts avec Christ aux éléments du monde, pourquoi, comme si vous étiez encore en vie dans le monde, établissez-vous des ordonnances, | Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, | Se dunque siete morti con Cristo agli elementi del mondo, perché vi sottoponete a dei precetti come se viveste nel mondo, quali: |
| 21 | -ne prends pas, ne goûte pas, ne touche pas! | (Touch not; taste not; handle not; | Non toccare, non assaggiare, non maneggiare, |
| 22 | -(choses qui sont toutes destinées à périr par l'usage,) selon les commandements et les enseignements des hommes | Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? | tutte cose che periscono con l'uso, secondo i comandamenti e le dottrine degli uomini? |
| 23 | (qui ont bien une apparence de sagesse en dévotion volontaire et en humilité, et en ce qu'elles n'épargnent pas le corps, ne lui rendant pas un certain honneur), pour la satisfaction de la chair? | Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. | Queste cose hanno sì qualche apparenza di sapienza nella religiosità volontariamente scelta, nella falsa umiltà e nel trattamento duro del corpo, ma non hanno alcun valore contro le intemperanze carnali. |
