Sont-ils plus prospères que ces royaumes-ci, ou leur territoire est-il plus grand que votre territoire? | Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines: are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border? | Passate a Kalneh e guardate, di là andate ad Hamath la grande, poi scendete a Gath dei Filistei. Sono forse esse migliori di questi regni o è il loro territorio più vasto del vostro? |

| 4 | Ils se couchent sur des lits d'ivoire, et s'étendent sur leurs coussins; ils mangent les agneaux du troupeau, et les veaux pris du lieu où on les engraisse; | that lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; | Guai a quelli sdraiati su letti d'avorio, che si distendono sui loro divani e mangiano gli agnelli del gregge e i vitelli presi dalla stalla. |
| 5 | Ils divaguent au son du luth; comme David, ils inventent des instruments de musique; | that sing idle songs to the sound of the viol; that invent for themselves instruments of music, like David; | Cantano al suono dell'arpa e come Davide inventano per sé strumenti musicali; |
| 6 | Ils boivent le vin dans de grands vases; ils s'oignent avec la meilleure huile, et ne sont pas dans la douleur pour la ruine de Joseph. | that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. | bevono il vino in larghe coppe e si ungono con gli unguenti migliori, ma non si addolorano per la rovina di Giuseppe. |
| 7 | C'est pourquoi ils vont être emmenés à la tête des captifs, et les clameurs des voluptueux cesseront. | Therefore shall they now go captive with the first that go captive; and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away. | Perciò andranno in cattività alla testa dei deportati e quelli che si distendono sui divani ai banchetti saranno rimossi. |
| 8 | Le Seigneur, l'Éternel, l'a juré par lui-même, dit l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées: Je déteste l'orgueil de Jacob, et je hais ses palais; je livrerai la ville et ce qu'elle contient. | The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by himself, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts: I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces; therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein. | Il Signore, l'Eterno, l'ha giurato per se stesso, dice l'Eterno, il DIO degli eserciti: Io detesto la magnificenza di Giacobbe e odio i suoi palazzi; perciò darò in potere del nemico la città con tutto ciò che contiene. |
| 9 | Que s'il reste dix hommes dans une maison, ils mourront aussi. | And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die. | E avverrà che se saranno lasciati dieci uomini in una casa, moriranno anch'essi. |
| 10 | Et le proche parent d'un mort, et celui qui doit le brûler, le prendra pour emporter les os hors de la maison, et il dira à celui qui est au fond de la maison: Y a-t-il encore quelqu'un auprès de toi? Et il répondra: Il n'y en a plus! Puis il dira: Silence! ce n'est pas le moment de prononcer le nom de l'Éternel. | And when a man`s uncle shall take him up, even he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is in the innermost parts of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No; then shall he say, Hold thy peace; for we may not make mention of the name of Jehovah. | Quando un parente verrà con chi brucia i corpi a prendere i corpi per portarli fuori di casa dirà a chi si trova nell'interno della casa: Ce n'è altri con te?. L'altro risponderà: No. E il primo dirà: Zitto, perché non si deve menzionare il nome dell'Eterno. |
| 11 | Car voici, l'Éternel donne ses ordres, et il fera tomber la grande maison en ruines, et la petite maison en débris. | For, behold, Jehovah commandeth, and the great house shall be smitten with breaches, and the little house with clefts. | Poiché ecco, l'Eterno comanda e riduce la casa grande in sterco e la piccola in frantumi. |
| 12 | Des chevaux courent-ils sur le rocher, ou y laboure-t-on avec des boeufs, que vous ayez changé le droit en poison, et le fruit de la justice en absinthe? | Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow [there] with oxen? that ye have turned justice into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood; | Corrono forse i cavalli sulle rocce o vi si ara con i buoi? Ma voi mutate il diritto in veleno e il frutto della giustizia in assenzio |
| 13 | Vous qui vous réjouissez en ce qui n'est rien, vous qui dites: N'est-ce pas par notre force que nous avons acquis de la puissance? | ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength? | voi, che vi rallegrate per Lo-debar, voi che dite: Non abbiamo preso per noi Karnaim con la nostra forza?. |
| 14 | Car voici, je vais faire lever contre vous, maison d'Israël, dit l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées, une nation qui vous opprimera, depuis l'entrée de Hamath jusqu'au torrent du désert. | For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the brook of the Arabah. | Poiché ecco, o casa d'Israele, dice l'Eterno il DIO degli eserciti io farò sorgere contro di voi una nazione, che vi opprimerà dall'ingresso di Hamath fino al torrente dell'Arabah. |
