| 4 | Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? | Le lion rugit-il dans la forêt, sans qu'il ait une proie? Le lionceau jette-t-il son cri de sa tanière, sans qu'il ait rien pris? | Ruggisce forse il leone nella foresta, se non ha una preda? Alzerà il leoncello la voce dalla sua tana, se non ha preso nulla? |
| 5 | Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? | L'oiseau tombe-t-il dans le filet qui est à terre, sans qu'il y ait un piège? Le filet se lève-t-il du sol, sans qu'il y ait rien de pris? | Cade forse l'uccello in una trappola a terra, se non gli è teso un laccio? Scatta forse la trappola dal suolo, se non ha preso qualcosa? |
| 6 | Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? | Si la trompette sonne dans une ville, le peuple ne sera-t-il pas alarmé? Et s'il arrive un malheur dans une ville, n'est-ce pas l'Éternel qui l'a fait? | Se in città si suona la tromba, non si spaventerà forse il popolo? Se in una città accade una sciagura, non l'ha forse causata l'Eterno? |
| 7 | Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. | Car le Seigneur, l'Éternel, ne fait rien, qu'il n'ait révélé son secret à ses serviteurs les prophètes. | Poiché il Signore, l'Eterno, non fa nulla, senza rivelare il suo segreto ai suoi servi, i profeti. |
| 8 | The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy? | Le lion rugit: qui ne craindra? Le Seigneur, l'Éternel, parle: qui ne prophétisera? | Il leone ha ruggito, chi non avrà paura? Il Signore, l'Eterno, ha parlato chi non profetizzerà? |
| 9 | Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof. | Faites entendre votre voix sur les palais d'Asdod et sur les palais du pays d'Égypte, et dites: Assemblez-vous sur les montagnes de Samarie, et voyez quels désordres au milieu d'elle et quelles oppressions dans son sein! | Fatelo udire sui palazzi di Ashdod e sui palazzi del paese d'Egitto e dite: Radunatevi sui monti di Samaria, e vedete quanti disordini ci sono in mezzo ad essa e oppressioni dentro di essa. |
| 10 | For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces. | Ils ne savent pas faire ce qui est droit, dit l'Éternel, ils amassent la violence et la rapine dans leurs palais. | Essi non sanno fare ciò che è retto, dice l'Eterno, nei loro palazzi accumulano violenza e rapina. |
| 11 | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled. | C'est pourquoi, ainsi a dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel: L'ennemi vient, il entoure le pays; il abattra ta force et tes palais seront pillés. | Perciò, così dice il Signore, l'Eterno: Il nemico circonderà da ogni lato il paese, farà crollare la tua forza e i tuoi palazzi saranno saccheggiati. |
| 12 | Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch. | Ainsi a dit l'Éternel: Comme un berger sauve de la gueule du lion deux jambes ou un bout d'oreille; ainsi seront sauvés les enfants d'Israël qui sont assis dans Samarie, à l'angle d'une couche et sur le damas d'un lit. | Così dice l'Eterno: Come un pastore strappa dalle fauci del leone due gambe o un pezzo d'orecchio, così saranno strappati i figli d'Israele che in Samaria stanno sull'angolo di un letto o sul damasco di un divano. |

| 14 | That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground. | Qu'au jour où je punirai Israël pour ses crimes, j'exercerai aussi la punition sur les autels de Béthel; les cornes de l'autel seront brisées et tomberont à terre. | nel giorno in cui punirò Israele per le sue trasgressioni, punirò anche gli altari di Bethel; i corni dell'altare saranno spezzati e cadranno a terra. |
| 15 | And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD. | Et j'abattrai la maison d'hiver avec la maison d'été, les maisons d'ivoire périront, et de nombreuses maisons prendront fin, dit l'Éternel. | Percuoterò le case d'inverno assieme alle case d'estate; le case d'avorio periranno e le grandi case scompariranno, dice l'Eterno. |
