| 1 | Ainsi dit l'Éternel: A cause de trois transgressions de Moab, et à cause de quatre, je ne le révoquerai point, parce qu'il a brûlé, réduit en chaux les os du roi d'Édom; | Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: | Così dice l'Eterno: Per tre misfatti, di Moab, anzi per quattro, io non revocherò la sua punizione, perché ha bruciato le ossa del re di Edom, riducendole in calce. |
| 2 | et j'enverrai un feu sur Moab, et il dévorera les palais de Kerijoth, et Moab mourra au milieu du tumulte, au milieu des cris, au son de la trompette, | but I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet; | Perciò manderò fuoco in Moab, che divorerà i palazzi di Kerioth, e Moab perirà in mezzo al tumulto, al grido di guerra e al suono delle trombe. |
| 3 | et je retrancherai le juge du milieu de lui, et je tuerai tous ses princes avec lui, dit l'Éternel. | and I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Jehovah. | Sterminerò dal suo mezzo il giudice e ucciderò tutti i suoi capi con lui, dice l'Eterno. |
| 4 | Ainsi dit l'Éternel: A cause de trois transgressions de Juda, et à cause de quatre, je ne le révoquerai point, parce qu'ils ont méprisé la loi de l'Éternel et n'ont pas gardé ses statuts, et que leurs mensonges, après lesquels leurs pères ont marché, les ont fait errer; | Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers did walk: | Così dice l'eterno: Per tre misfatti di Giuda, anzi per quattro, io non revocherò la sua punizione, perché hanno disprezzato la legge dell'eterno e non hanno osservato i suoi statuti. Così gli idoli, dietro i quali già andarono i loro padri, li hanno fatti sviare. |
| 5 | et j'enverrai un feu dans Juda, et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem. | but I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem. | Perciò manderò fuoco in Giuda, che divorerà i palazzi di Gerusalemme. |
| 6 | Ainsi dit l'Éternel: A cause de trois transgressions d'Israël, et à cause de quatre, je ne le révoquerai point, parce qu'ils ont vendu le juste pour de l'argent, et le pauvre pour une paire de sandales, | Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes- | Così dice l'Eterno: Per tre misfatti d'Israele, anzi per quattro, io non revocherò la sua punizione, perché vendono il giusto per denaro e il povero per un paio di sandali, |
| 7 | eux qui désirent ardemment de voir la poussière de la terre sur la tête des chétifs, et qui pervertissent le chemin des débonnaires; et un homme et son père vont vers la même fille, pour profaner mon saint nom; | they that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father go unto the [same] maiden, to profane my holy name: | essi che desiderano ardentemente vedere la polvere della terra sul capo dei miseri e pervertono il diritto degli umili. Un uomo e suo padre vanno entrambi dalla stessa ragazza, per profanare il mio santo nome. |
| 8 | et ils s'étendent à côté de chaque autel, sur des vêtements pris en gage, et boivent dans la maison de leur dieu le vin de ceux qui ont été mis à l'amende. | and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined. | Si stendono accanto ad ogni altare su vesti prese in pegno e nella casa dei loro dèi bevono il vino di quelli colpiti da multa. |
| 9 | Mais moi, j'ai détruit devant eux l'Amoréen, dont la taille était comme la hauteur des cèdres, et qui était fort comme les chênes; et j'ai détruit son fruit en haut et ses racines en bas. | Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. | Eppure io distrussi davanti a loro l'Amorreo, la cui altezza era come l'altezza dei cedri ed era forte come le querce; io distrussi il suo frutto in alto e le sue radici in basso. |
| 10 | Et moi, je vous ai fait monter du pays d'Égypte, et je vous ai fait marcher dans le désert quarante ans, pour posséder le pays de l'Amoréen. | Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite. | Io vi feci anche uscire dal paese d'Egitto e vi condussi per quarant'anni nel deserto, per darvi in eredità il paese dell'Amorreo. |
| 11 | Et j'ai suscité des prophètes d'entre vos fils, et d'entre vos jeunes gens, des nazaréens. N'en est-il pas ainsi, fils d'Israël? dit l'Éternel. | And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah. | Feci sorgere alcuni profeti tra i vostri figli e Nazirei fra i vostri giovani. Non è forse così, o figli d'Israele?, dice l'Eterno. |
| 12 | Et vous avez fait boire du vin aux nazaréens, et vous avez commandé aux prophètes, disant: Ne prophétisez pas. | But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not. | Ma voi avete fatto bere vino ai Nazirei e avete comandato ai profeti, dicendo: "Non profetizzate". |
| 13 | Voici, je pèserai sur vous comme pèse le char plein de gerbes. | Behold, I will press [you] in your place, as a cart presseth that is full of sheaves. | Ecco io sono schiacciato sotto di voi, come è schiacciato il carro pieno di covoni. |
| 14 | Et la fuite manquera à celui qui est agile; et le fort n'affirmera pas sa force; et l'homme vaillant ne sauvera pas sa vie; | And flight shall perish from the swift; and the strong shall not strengthen his force; neither shall the mighty deliver himself; | Perciò il veloce non avrà modo di fuggire, il forte non consoliderà la sua forza né l'uomo valoroso salverà la sua vita. |
| 15 | et celui qui manie l'arc ne tiendra pas ferme; et celui qui a les pieds agiles n'échappera pas; et celui qui monte le cheval ne sauvera pas sa vie; | neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver [himself]; neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself; | Chi maneggia l'arco non potrà resistere, chi ha piedi veloci non riuscirà a scappare, né salverà la sua vita il cavaliere a cavallo. |
| 16 | et celui qui a le coeur plein de courage parmi les hommes vaillants s'enfuira nu en ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel. | and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah. | In quel giorno il più coraggioso fra gli uomini valorosi fuggirà nudo, dice l'Eterno. |
