Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house. | dal giorno in cui ho stabilito dei giudici sul mio popolo Israele. Ti darò riposo da tutti i tuoi nemici. | 12 | Quand tes jours seront accomplis et que tu seras couché avec tes pères, j'élèverai ta postérité après toi, celui qui sera sorti de tes entrailles, et j'affermirai son règne. | And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. | Quando i tuoi giorni saranno compiuti e tu riposerai con i tuoi padri, io innalzerò dopo di te la tua discendenza che uscirà dalle tue viscere e stabilirò il suo regno. |

| 18 | Et le roi David alla se présenter devant l'Éternel, et dit : Qui suis-je, Seigneur Éternel, et quelle est ma maison, pour que tu m'aies fait parvenir où je suis ? | Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? | Allora il re Davide andò a sedersi davanti all'Eterno e disse: Chi sono io o Signore, o Eterno, e che cos'è la mia casa, da farmi arrivare fino qui? |
| 19 | C'est encore peu de chose à tes yeux, Seigneur Éternel ; tu parles aussi de la maison de ton serviteur pour les temps à venir. Et tu daignes instruire un homme de ces choses, Seigneur Éternel ! | And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD? | Ma questo era ancora poca cosa ai tuoi occhi, o Signore, o Eterno, perché tu hai parlato anche della casa del tuo servo per un lontano futuro; e questa è la legge dell'uomo, o Signore, o Eterno. |

| 21 | A cause de ta parole, et selon ton coeur, tu as fait toutes ces grandes choses pour les révéler à ton serviteur. | For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them. | Per amore della tua parola e secondo il tuo cuore hai compiuto tutte queste grandi cose per farle conoscere al tuo servo. |
| 22 | Que tu es donc grand, Éternel Dieu ! car nul n'est semblable à toi, et il n'y a point d'autre Dieu que toi, d'après tout ce que nous avons entendu de nos oreilles. | Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. | Per questo sei grande, o Eterno, o DIO. Nessuno è come te e non c'è altro DIO fuori di te, secondo tutto ciò che abbiamo udito con i nostri orecchi. |
| 23 | Est-il sur la terre une seule nation qui soit comme ton peuple, comme Israël, que Dieu est venu racheter pour en former son peuple, pour se faire un nom et pour accomplir en sa faveur, en faveur de ton pays, des miracles et des prodiges, en chassant devant ton peuple, que tu as racheté d'Égypte, des nations et leurs dieux ? | And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods? | E chi è come il tuo popolo, come Israele, l'unica nazione sulla terra che DIO è venuto a riscattare per sé come suo popolo per farsi un nome, e per compiere per te cose grandi e tremende per la tua terra davanti al tuo popolo che hai riscattato per te dall'Egitto, dalle nazioni dei loro dèi? |
| 24 | Tu as affermi ton peuple d'Israël, pour qu'il fût ton peuple à toujours ; et toi, Éternel, tu es devenu son Dieu. | For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God. | Tu hai stabilito per te il tuo popolo d'Israele per essere tuo popolo per sempre; e tu, o Eterno, sei divenuto il suo DIO. |
| 25 | Maintenant, Éternel Dieu, fais subsister jusque dans l'éternité la parole que tu as prononcée sur ton serviteur et sur sa maison, et agis selon ta parole. | And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said. | E ora, o Eterno, o DIO, la parola che hai pronunziato riguardo al tuo servo e alla sua casa rendila stabile per sempre e fa' come hai detto, |
| 26 | Que ton nom soit à jamais glorifié, et que l'on dise : L'Éternel des armées est le Dieu d'Israël ! Et que la maison de ton serviteur David soit affermie devant toi ! | And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee. | affinché il tuo nome sia magnificato per sempre e si dica: "L'Eterno degli eserciti è il DIO d'Israele". E la casa del tuo servo Davide sia resa stabile davanti a te! |
| 27 | Car toi-même, Éternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël, tu t'es révélé à ton serviteur, en disant : Je te fonderai une maison ! C'est pourquoi ton serviteur a pris courage pour t'adresser cette prière. | For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee. | Poiché tu, o Eterno degli eserciti, DIO d'Israele, hai rivelato questo al tuo servo, dicendo: "Io ti edificherò una casa". Per questo il tuo servo ha trovato il coraggio di rivolgerti questa preghiera. |
| 28 | Maintenant, Seigneur Éternel, tu es Dieu, et tes paroles sont vérité, et tu as annoncé cette grâce à ton serviteur. | And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: | E ora, o Signore, o Eterno, tu sei DIO, le tue parole sono verità, e hai promesso queste belle cose al tuo servo. |
| 29 | Veuille donc bénir la maison de ton serviteur, afin qu'elle subsiste à toujours devant toi ! Car c'est toi, Seigneur Éternel, qui a parlé, et par ta bénédiction la maison de ton serviteur sera bénie éternellement. | Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. | Ora perciò degnati di benedire la casa del tuo servo, affinché sussista per sempre davanti a te, perché tu, o Signore, o Eterno, hai parlato, e per la tua benedizione la casa del tuo servo sarà benedetta per sempre!. |
