| 4 | Pour ce qui regarde donc de manger des choses sacrifiées aux idoles, nous savons que l'idole n'est rien au monde, et qu'il n'y a aucun autre Dieu qu'un seul; | Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is [anything] in the world, and that there is no God but one. | Perciò quanto al mangiare le cose sacrificate agli idoli, noi sappiamo che l'idolo non è nulla nel mondo, e che non vi è alcun altro Dio, se non uno solo, |

| 7 | Mais il n'y a pas en tous la même connaissance; car quelques-uns qui jusqu'à présent font conscience à cause de l'idole, de manger des choses qui ont été sacrifiées à l'idole, en mangent pourtant; c'est pourquoi leur conscience étant faible, elle en est souillée. | Howbeit there is not in all men that knowledge: but some, being used until now to the idol, eat as [of] a thing sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. | Ma la conoscenza non è in tutti; anzi alcuni, avendo finora consapevolezza dell'idolo, mangiano come di una cosa sacrificata all'idolo; e la loro coscienza, essendo debole, ne è contaminata. |
| 8 | Or la viande ne nous rend pas agréables à Dieu; car si nous mangeons, nous n'en avons rien davantage; et si nous ne mangeons point, nous n'en avons pas moins. | But food will not commend us to God: neither, if we eat not, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better. | Ora un cibo non ci rende graditi a Dio; se mangiamo, non abbiamo nulla di più, e se non mangiamo, non abbiamo nulla di meno. |
| 9 | Mais prenez garde que cette liberté que vous avez, ne soit en quelque sorte en scandale aux faibles. | But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to the weak. | Badate però che questa vostra libertà non divenga un intoppo per i deboli. |
| 10 | Car si quelqu'un te voit, toi qui as de la connaissance, être à table au temple des idoles, la conscience de celui qui est faible, ne sera-t-elle pas induite à manger des choses sacrifiées à l'idole? | For if a man see thee who hast knowledge sitting at meat in an idol`s temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols? | Perché se qualcuno vede te, che hai conoscenza, seduto a tavola in un tempio di idoli, la coscienza di lui, che è debole, non sarà forse incoraggiata a mangiare le cose sacrificate agli idoli? |
| 11 | Et ainsi ton frère, qui est faible, pour lequel Christ est mort, périra par ta connaissance. | For through thy knowledge he that is weak perisheth, the brother for whose sake Christ died. | E così, a causa della tua conoscenza perirà il fratello debole, per il quale Cristo è morto. |
| 12 | Or quand vous péchez ainsi contre vos frères, et que vous blessez leur conscience qui est faible, vous péchez contre Christ. | And thus, sinning against the brethren, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, ye sin against Christ. | Ora, peccando così contro i fratelli e ferendo la loro coscienza debole, voi peccate contro Cristo. |
