| 1 | Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. | 4 | As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. | Pour ce qui regarde donc de manger des choses sacrifiées aux idoles, nous savons que l'idole n'est rien au monde, et qu'il n'y a aucun autre Dieu qu'un seul; | Pour ce qui est donc de manger des choses sacrifiées aux idoles, nous savons qu'une idole n'est rien dans le monde, et qu'il n'y a qu'un seul Dieu. | Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is [anything] in the world, and that there is no God but one. |

| 7 | Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. | Mais il n'y a pas en tous la même connaissance; car quelques-uns qui jusqu'à présent font conscience à cause de l'idole, de manger des choses qui ont été sacrifiées à l'idole, en mangent pourtant; c'est pourquoi leur conscience étant faible, elle en est souillée. | Mais tous n'ont pas cette connaissance; car quelques-uns, dans l'opinion qu'ils ont encore à présent de l'idole, mangent une chose comme sacrifiée à l'idole; et leur conscience étant faible, en est souillée. | Howbeit there is not in all men that knowledge: but some, being used until now to the idol, eat as [of] a thing sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. |

| 10 | For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; | Car si quelqu'un te voit, toi qui as de la connaissance, être à table au temple des idoles, la conscience de celui qui est faible, ne sera-t-elle pas induite à manger des choses sacrifiées à l'idole? | Car, si quelqu'un te voit, toi qui as cette connaissance, assis à table dans le temple des idoles, la conscience de celui qui est faible, ne sera-t-elle pas déterminée à manger de ce qui est sacrifié aux idoles? | For if a man see thee who hast knowledge sitting at meat in an idol`s temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols? |
| 11 | And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? | Et ainsi ton frère, qui est faible, pour lequel Christ est mort, périra par ta connaissance. | Et le frère faible, pour lequel Christ est mort, sera renversé par ta connaissance de cette liberté. | For through thy knowledge he that is weak perisheth, the brother for whose sake Christ died. |
