| 5 | Ainsi ne jugez rien avant le temps, jusqu'à ce que le Seigneur vienne, qui aussi mettra en lumière les choses cachées des ténèbres, et qui manifestera les conseils des coeurs; et alors chacun recevra sa louange de la part de Dieu. | Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. | Perciò non giudicate nulla prima del tempo, finché sia venuto il Signore, il quale metterà in luce le cose occulte delle tenebre e manifesterà i consigli dei cuori; e allora ciascuno avrà la sua lode da Dio. |

Et si aussi tu l'as reçu, pourquoi te glorifies-tu, comme si tu ne l'avais pas reçu? | For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? | Che cosa infatti ti rende diverso? Che cosa hai tu che non l'abbia ricevuto? E se l'hai ricevuto, perché ti glori come se non l'avessi ricevuto? |

| 17 | C'est pourquoi je vous ai envoyé Timothée, qui est mon enfant bien-aimé et qui est fidèle dans le Seigneur; il vous fera souvenir de mes voies en Christ, selon que j'enseigne partout dans chaque assemblée. | For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. | Per questa ragione vi ho mandato Timoteo, che è mio figlio diletto e fedele nel Signore, che vi ricorderà quali sono le mie vie in Cristo e come insegno dappertutto in ogni chiesa. |

| 19 | mais j'irai bientôt vers vous, si le Seigneur le veut, et je connaîtrai, non la parole de ceux qui se sont enflés, mais la puissance. | But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. | ma verrò presto da voi, se piace al Signore, e conoscerò non il parlare, ma la potenza di coloro che si sono gonfiati, |
| 20 | Car le royaume de Dieu n'est pas pas en parole, mais en puissance. | For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. | perché il regno di Dio non consiste in parole, ma in potenza. |
| 21 | Que voulez-vous? Que j'aille vers vous avec la verge, ou avec amour et un esprit de douceur? | What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? | Che volete? Che venga da voi con la verga, oppure con amore e con spirito di mansuetudine? |
