| Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. | Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
| Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. | Ye know that when ye were Gentiles [ye were] led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might led.
| Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. | Wherefore I make known unto you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.
Or il y a diversité de dons de grâce, mais le même Esprit: | Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. | Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
et il y a diversité de services, et le même Seigneur; | And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. | And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.
| And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. | And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.
| But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. | But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; | For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:
et à un autre la foi, par le même Esprit: et à un autre des dons de grâce de guérisons, par le même Esprit; | To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; | to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;
| To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: | and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:
| But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. | but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.
| For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. | For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
| For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. | For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.
| For the body is not one member, but many. | For the body is not one member, but many.
| If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? | If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.
| And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? | And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.
| If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? | If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
| But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. | But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.
| And if they were all one member, where were the body? | And if they were all one member, where were the body?
| But now are they many members, yet but one body. | But now they are many members, but one body.
And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. | And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
-mais bien plutôt les membres du corps qui paraissent être les plus faibles, sont nécessaires; | Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: | Nay, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be more feeble are necessary:
et les membres du corps que nous estimons être les moins honorables, nous les environnons d'un honneur plus grand; et nos membres qui ne sont pas décents sont les plus parés, | And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. | and those [parts] of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness;
tandis que nos membres décents n'en ont pas besoin. Mais Dieu a composé le corps en donnant un plus grand honneur à ce qui en manquait, | For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. | whereas our comely [parts] have no need: but God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that [part] which lacked;
| That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. | that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.
| And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. | And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or [one] member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
| Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. | Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.
| And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. | And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, [divers] kinds of tongues.
Tous sont-ils apôtres? Tous sont-ils prophètes? Tous sont-ils docteurs? | Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? | Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all [workers of] miracles?
Tous interprètent-ils? | Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? | have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
| But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way. | But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.
