Scemiramoth, Jehieh, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom e Jeiel. Essi suonavano arpe e cetre, mentre Asaf suonava cembali. |
| 6 | and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God. | I sacerdoti Benaiah e Jahaziel invece suonavano del continuo la tromba davanti all'arca del patto di DIO. |
| 7 | Then on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren. | In quel giorno Davide affidò per la prima volta ad Asaf e ai suoi fratelli l'incarico di cantare le lodi dell'Eterno. |
| 8 | O give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known his doings among the peoples. | Celebrate l'Eterno, invocate il suo nome; fate conoscere le sue opere fra i popoli. |
| 9 | Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works. | Cantate a lui, cantate lodi a lui, meditate su tutte le sue meraviglie. |

| 18 | Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance; | dicendo Io ti darò il paese di Canaan come porzione della vostra eredità. |
| 19 | When ye were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it; | quando non eravate che un piccolo numero, pochissimi e stranieri nel paese. |
| 20 | And they went about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people. | Quando andavano da nazione a nazione, da un regno a un altro popolo, |
| 21 | He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, | egli non permise che alcuno li opprimesse; anzi punì dei re per amor loro, |
| 22 | [Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm. | dicendo: Non toccate i miei unti e non fate alcun male ai miei profeti. |
| 23 | Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth; Show forth his salvation from day to day. | Cantate all'Eterno, o abitanti di tutta la terra, annunziate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza! |
| 24 | Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples. | Proclamate la sua gloria fra le nazioni e le sue meraviglie fra tutti i popoli! |
| 25 | For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods. | Poiché l'Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode; egli va temuto sopra tutti gli dèi. |
| 26 | For all the gods of the peoples are idols: But Jehovah made the heavens. | Poiché tutti gli dèi delle nazioni sono idoli, ma l'Eterno ha fatto i cieli. |
| 27 | Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place. | Splendore e maestà sono davanti a lui, forza e gioia sono nella sua dimora. |
| 28 | Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength; | Date all'Eterno, o famiglie dei popoli, date all'Eterno gloria e forza. |
| 29 | Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him: Worship Jehovah in holy array. | Date all'Eterno la gloria dovuta al suo nome, portategli offerte e venite davanti a lui. Prostratevi davanti all'Eterno nello splendore della sua SANTITA'; |

| 31 | Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth. | Si rallegrino i cieli e gioisca la terra e dicano fra le nazioni: L'Eterno regna. |
| 32 | Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; Let the field exult, and all that is therein; | Rumoreggi il mare e tutto ciò che è in esso |
| 33 | Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth. | allora tutti gli alberi della foresta manderanno grida di gioia davanti all'Eterno, perché egli viene a giudicare la terra. |
| 34 | O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever. | Celebrate l'Eterno, perché egli è buono, perché la sua benignità dura in eterno. |
| 35 | And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us together and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise. | Dite: Salvaci, o DIO della nostra salvezza! Raccoglici e liberaci dalle nazioni, affinché celebriamo il tuo santo nome e ci gloriamo nel lodarti. |
| 36 | Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah. | Benedetto sia l'Eterno, il DIO d'Israele, d'eternità in eternità! E tutto il popolo disse: Amen, e lodò l'Eterno. |
| 37 | So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day`s work required; | Così Davide lasciò Asaf e i suoi fratelli là davanti all'arca, del patto dell'Eterno, perché prestassero continuamente servizio davanti all'arca, secondo le necessità di ogni giorno. |
| 38 | and Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers; | Lasciò anche Obed-Edom e i suoi sessantotto fratelli (Obed-Edom figlio di Jeduthun, e Hosah come portinai) |
| 39 | and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon, | e il sacerdote Tsadok e i sacerdoti suoi fratelli davanti al tabernacolo dell'Eterno sull'alto luogo che era a Gabaon, |
| 40 | to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel; | perché offrissero all'Eterno olocausti sull'altare, degli olocausti, continuamente mattina e sera, secondo tutto ciò che sta scritto nella legge dell'Eterno che egli aveva imposto a Israele. |
| 41 | and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, because his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; | E con essi erano Heman Jeduthun e gli altri che erano stati scelti e designati per nome per lodare l'Eterno perché la sua benignità dura in eterno. |
| 42 | and with them Heman and Jeduthun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate. | Con essi c'erano pure Heman e Jeduthun con trombe e cembali, per quelli che dovevano suonare, e con strumenti musicali per accompagnare i canti di DIO. I figli di Jeduthun dovevano stare alla porta. |
| 43 | And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house. | Infine tutto il popolo fece ritorno ciascuno a casa sua, e Davide ritornò per benedire la propria casa. |
